What our students said about Lima
Chaotic bus traffic, as many providers operate the transport network. It is annoying that horns are honked day and night. Also the honking of taxi drivers hoping for a ride with the gringos. Cabify is a great app for ordering a taxi, and it's great that the price for the ride is included. So you don't feel ripped off. Unfortunately, there are few cultural events in Lima. The tourism centres are not staffed or only have a lot of brochures from a few providers. No real incoming tourism.
For me personally, Lima is beautiful (and Peru in general). The climate is perfect for me and I really like the friendliness of the locals and their willingness to help with anything and everything. And Peru is a very interesting country, you can spend half a year exploring the country and you won't learn everything. Very interesting! The food is amazingly delicious!
The city is huge and travelling from one place to the other takes a long time due to the absence of an overall public transportation system. But this is what makes Lima an interesting and adventurous choice which I can totally recommend to anyone who loves to explore new places.
Beautifully situated by the sea, not outstanding apart from the centre. Lots of tower blocks, beautiful parks and churches.
South American metropolis without any special sights, but excellent food and a cool atmosphere (in Miraflores)
I lived in Miraflora, a very safe and clean neighbourhood, other parts are not so safe or clean.
Very big city with lots of hustle and bustle. I particularly enjoyed living in Miraflores.
Very diverse, bustling and interesting city. There are many beautiful places to see.
I love Lima and have visited and will continue to visit this city in the future.
Lots of culture and very big. There is a lot to see. Not so good for beach days.
What language school directors said about Lima
Because it's ranked as the best food in Latin America, besides interesting museums and the most beautiful views of the pacific ocean, walk along the Malecón, a six-mile boardwalk perched on clifftops, we'll see joggers and surfers down the beaches.
