I found really good teachers, but not all of them in the school r so good: especially in the afternoon classes under level intermediate. From my little personal experience and from talking with other students I advice u don't get afternoon classes if u r under that level. And u need to be carefull: if u find a good teacher for u don't move, stay in that class, otherwise ask as soon as possible to change! In this way u can learn very quickly and u r gonna be satisfied.

The cost of living in Toronto is high. Eating is expensive and also drinking and travelling. Don't go with the trips organized by the school in the weekend. Let's find out how to rent a car and go by yourself, it's cheaper and more funny. If u want to take private lessons wait to be there and ask people, don't take it in the school: they r good but also expensive. U can even find good private lessons outside the school for a third of the price. The weather was very warm (25 degrees) until the second half of october.

Average age of students when i was there it was about 23 years old. If u need an accomodation, choose the student house, it's the best way to enjoy your time with yr new friends. I heard a lot of bad experiences (especially about bad food) in the family from other students.

It is a good school for the immersion of young people as well organized but not fast enough for someone like me Young people from 18-20 years, Japanese, Korean ... who whisper and have considerable accents.

The relationships with the teachers

There are only a few people in the classes and so you can speak and learn a lot. The teachers have a good structured plan of their lessons and they take care to send you to a class with a suitable level. There are a lot of students from very different countries.

You should try to stay at the Student House, it is nice, clean and in a great location. You will have great oppotrtunities to make friends. You should also go to Niagara Falls or stay in Canada for Halloween.

IHT is a small school but all the people are very friendly and helpful... there are a lot of activities organized by the school (every day ) !!!

All the teachers are young and very friendly.

Toronto Island and CN-Tower

It was a wonderful time! I met lots of people from all over the world. Learning english was fun!!!

The good, funny, high dedicated and cooperatively behaviour of the majority of the teachers and the other people from the staff.

To go out with other students with a different nationality and in this way learn about their culture and try their food.

If you are in a lower level especially at the beginning of your course it is very difficult to unterstand your classmates who are from an asian country. At my first weeks I felt that some of the teaching rooms were too narrow. But after a few weeks the school opened a second building and then the rooms were okay. Nevertheless, the number of toiletts at the school is too small. However, the majority of the teachers is highly motivated, knows how to interest you in the lesson topics and is willing to answer all your question and to give you some extra work if you want. Sometimes at the school is a high quantity of teachers changes which makes you feel uncomfortable. Eventually, you can use the internet for free.

After the language test at my first day, I was in level 6 (of 8). Unfortunately, my class comprised over 80% asian students with a really bad pronounciation, and I had the impression that I was a little bit unchallenged. The second day, the school offered me to change into a higher level. After that, my class was much better and I was really happy.
