Interesting city with light and shadow - modern and well-maintained buildings in the centre keep alternating with poorly maintained buildings. It is obvious that money is often lacking.

The Hungarian language is unusual and I also recommend having a class where students could exchange and practice with each other.

My teacher was very patient and attentive, but he had no didactics to teach a language, and followed the teaching material page by page. Which was certainly good - but with 4 hours of lessons a day, you would have to do more intensive structuring of relaxation, reading practice and speaking. Because you can't learn grammar and vocabulary for 4 hours without loosening up in between.
I would say that he and I learned equally well - but next time I would prefer a mixture of 1/2 language school with other students and pace and 1/2 individual lessons with more in-depth learning.
For this time, I really enjoyed the stay and the experience, especially being in the middle of Budapest, but I rate my language learning load for 20 hours of intensive lessons as medium to small.
I have a comparison with a language teacher; didactics with 2 individual lessons a week and I should be able to speak more after a week in the country....
But I found it to be a good experience! And my teacher tried very hard and was committed.
