General facts about Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT):
The Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) is a computer adaptive test which assesses a person's analytical, writing, quantitative, verbal, and reading skills in standard written English in preparation for being admitted into a graduate management program, such as an MBA. GMAT is a registered trademark of the Graduate Management Admission Council.
Business schools use the test as a criterion for admission into a wide range of graduate management programs, including MBA, Master of Accountancy, and Master of Finance programs.

Structure of exam:
The GMAT consists of four sections
Analytical Writing Assessment (AWA)– 1 Analysis of an Argument essay, 30 minutes
Integrated Reasoning– 12 questions of various types, 30 minutes total
Quantitative– 37 multiple-choice questions, 75 minutes total
Verbal– 41 multiple-choice questions, 75 minutes total
Results:
An official GMAT score report consists of five parts:
Verbal Scaled Score (on a scale from 0 to 60)
Quantitative Scaled Score (on a scale from 0 to 60)
Total Scaled Score (on a scale from 200 to 800)
Analytical Writing Assessment (AWA) Score (on a scale from 0 to 6)
Integrated Reasoning Score (on a scale from 1 to 8)
The total score is a scaled combination of the verbal and quantitative scaled scores.
