Course: Intensive Language Course - 4 weeks
Student age: 19 years
Nice, good teachers with a sense of humor. Based on the language test in advance, I was placed in a class that was just right for me in terms of level and that included people of varied ages.
Sympathetic school. In my month there was only one social activity (paella meal). I didn't mind. Perhaps young people think that is not enough.

The location in the old town
Rooms very small, stuffy, windows could not be open, the chairs incredibly uncomfortable, the small folding tables at the chairs not sufficient

Small groups, which means you get to talk a lot. All the teaching staff are very friendly and give the impression that they enjoy teaching. The teacher tried very hard to make the lessons varied, it was very interesting. Concentration on the essentials and not putting on a show.

Q&A - Questions and answers about Valencia
- Do I get a letter of acceptance for my course?“Most schools offer letters of acceptance after your booking has been confirmed and paid in full. ”Louise Granath, LanguageCourse.Net - May 29, 2023Which schools in Valencia have a lower average age and that you recommend for students under 25?“The schools with a lower average age in Valencia are these two schools: Hispania (average age 20-25) and Enforex (average age 20-24). Enforex even has the option of accommodation in a student house.”Robin Rebecca Pietersma, LanguageCourse.Net - Feb 14, 2023My partner and I both want to book the course and the Homestay accommodation. We are booking online separately but we both want to stay at the same Homestay address. How do we ensure that we stay at the same address?“On the enrollment form, you will find a specific field in which you can inform that you are travelling with your partner.
Based on that, the accommodation will be organized for both of you in the same house, and we will reinforce your preferences with them and offer assistance throughout the process.”Ana Carolina Dos Santos, LanguageCourse.Net - Nov 24, 2022Are there schools in Valencia that offer English group courses?“English in Spain is not a very popular option, but is sometimes possible. Does it matter where in Spain?
Enforex and Don Quijote both offer English courses for juniors in Valencia, but not for adults.
Very possibly we could look into private lessons. Could that be an option for you?”Robin Rebecca Pietersma, LanguageCourse.Net - Nov 07, 2022I would like to do a semi-private course. Or an intensive course in a small group. What are the class times?“A semi-private course is often in the afternoons because the teachers are busy with the group courses in the mornings. It is important to have a buddy yourself that you can do the semi-private course with. If you don't have one, I recommend combining a group course with private lessons. A group course often has a maximum of 8 students in Valencia.”Robin Pietersma, LanguageCourse.Net - Oct 17, 2022I am interested in booking a 2-week course in Valencia. I have a service dog, small 4 kg, so easy to have with me everywhere. Is it possible to bring my dog to the classes?“We will be happy to organise a Spanish programne for you, but
unfortunately, we cannot accept pets in the accommodation or in the school.”Frederico Ramos, from Don Quijote - Jun 28, 2022I would like to do an Intensive Spanish course for two weeks. I am a 58-year-old woman, my preference is a seniors course in Valencia. I have already taken a course once in Valencia and once in Madrid and I also have an A1 certificate. I especially liked that there were afternoon/evening excursions that you could participate in. Furthermore, I also like to stay with a host family with breakfast and evening meals. Can you give me advice?“In Valencia, Enforex and Don Quijote offer 50+ courses. During these 50+ courses, you will take Spanish lessons with all ages (18+) and special 50+ activities are organized after the lessons.
You can also choose to do a General Spanish course for 2 weeks and then choose the school with a higher average age of student. In this regard, El Carmen is a good option. The average age for them is around 30 years old.
These three schools all have the option of host family accommodation, with half board.”Robin Rebecca Pietersma, LanguageCourse.Net - Mar 28, 2022My son would like to do 3 months of language study in Valencia. In March he wants to go back to the Netherlands for two weeks for a holiday. Is it possible to stop for 2 weeks in the middle of the 3 months and proceed upon return?“The general courses are almost always booked per week. This means that your son can certainly stop for 2 weeks during his stay in Valencia.”Robin Rebecca Pietersma, LanguageCourse.net - Nov 17, 2021FAQ about courses in Valencia

What are the class times? Are lessons in a small group?“A semi-private course is often in the afternoons because the teachers are busy with the group courses in the mornings.
The important thing is to have a buddy yourself that you can do the semi-private course with. If you don't have one, I recommend combining a group course with private lessons, for example.
A group course often has a maximum of 8 students in Valencia.”Robin Rebecca Pietersma, Language Travel Consultant from LanguageCourse.Net - Oct 28, 2022Do you offer Spanish courses in Valencia for students 45+?“In Valencia, we have programmes for 50+ students, but currently, there are no programmes for 40+ students only.
As a suggestion, you can book a Spanish programme with a school where the average age of the students throughout the year is significantly higher than at most other schools. The school El Rincón del Tándem is a great choice for adult students!”Ana Carolina, Area Manager from LanguageCourse.net - Aug 29, 2022How many students can be accommodated in a shared flat?
And is it possible to know approximately in which area of Valencia they are located? Are there people of different ages in the same flat, or about the same age?“Usually 3-5 students stay in a shared flat. The final place of residence is shared by the school with the students individually, after the course has been paid. Usually, schools try to classify students with other residents of about the same age. However, this is not guaranteed as it depends on several factors (period, number of registrations, possible last minute cancellations, etc.).”Anzo, Area Manager from LCN - Nov 29, 2021I would like to study Spanish in Valencia for 3 weeks. I am looking for a course of 20 hours per week. Level is A2-B1. I'm looking for a school where the average age is a bit higher (I'm 49 myself), but not only with people over 50. Can you help me with this?“In Valencia we work with very good schools. Most courses are standard courses with 20 lessons per week and since you already have Spanish knowledge you can start any Monday.
The average age is often higher if you book outside the school holidays. You can also opt for a business group course, as our experience is that few young students participate in these courses.
It is important to keep in mind that most schools prefer to group students by language level first and then by age for the best course experience.
When would you like to start and at which school? If you let us know (via the contact box) then we can check availability and investigate whether peers have already registered.”Robin Rebecca Pietersma, Dutch Consultant from LanguageCourse.net - Oct 13, 2021course destinations
