How we create the points regarding what we like/dislike about a school

Location: Ahlan-Egypt Alexandria is located in the historic and unique city of Alexandria, Egypt. The school is downtown, with excellent access to shops, restaurants, cafés and local attractions. The Library of Alexandria, the Citadel of Qaitbay, the Ancient Roman Amphitheatre, and the Serapeum and Pompey's Pillar, are all within walking distance, ensuring that students have great opportunities to engage with the city's culture whilst achieving their language goals. Alexandria International Airport is a 15-20 minute taxi ride from the school.

Course selection: Course selection with Ahlan-Egypt includes both Modern Standard Arabic and Egyptian Colloquial Arabic, taught over various intensities. One-to-one lessons are also available independently or in conjunction with a group course, ensuring that students receive all the tuition necessary to reach their language goals.

School facilities: The school facilities include full kitchen use for students, a library, movie rentals, free WIFI and a student support desk for any questions or queries that may arise. All classrooms are equipped with air conditioning and ample natural light to create an optimal learning environment.

School chain: The Ahlan schools all stem from the Ahlan World group. They have several schools throughout Egypt, Jordan, Morroco and Italy, teaching Arabic, at all levels, to the highest of standards.

The Ahlan philosophy outlines their approach to teaching. Their view is that learning a new language is not merely learning how to spell or speak that language, but also learning about the cultures surrounding the language and its history. Many Ahlan schools offer extracurricular activities, including local seminars, initiatives with local organisations, and weekly activities and excursions.

Ahlan means welcome, outlining how all Ahlan schools strive to make students feel welcomed whilst studying with them.
  • The language school Ahlan-Egypt was founded in Alexandria, Egypt in 2002.
  • Legal name / parent company: Ahlan World
  • Tax registration ID: 262094150

Student opinions about Ahlan-Egypt, Alexandria

Liked
The general atmosphere was excellent. The relationship between the students and the teachers' staff was very pleasant, friendly and professional. Beside language studies we have received a deeper insight into Egyptian and Islamic culture through well-organized free time activities. (eg.: a week-end trip to the Sahara.)rnThe other very important and useful factor was the unlimited free internet access both at the school and in the accomodation which made communication with family and friends back at home very easy and cheap.
Insider tips about what future students should not miss It was rather difficult to purchase notebooks in downtown Alexandria. I would advise other students not to rely on buying stationary in Alex.
