In a small group, students get more attention and the teachers can be more responsive to their needs to Learn English in Canada. As a student, you have more opportunities to talk and interact with the teacher and your classmates. ESL Teacher Randy observes, “It is easier for students to gain confidence in using the language when they don’t have to speak in front of a large group”. Q&A - Questions and answers about Canada
- One of my students has enrolled on an intensive course. Now he would like to know if there is some kind of official exam at the end of the course.
“The courses usually do not have an exam at the end. There are special exam preparation courses where via the schools
you can then register for exams. However, the schools usually issue a certificate of attendance with the level achieved in the course.”Martin Zakostelecky, LanguageCourse.Net - Apr 12, 2024Do I need a visa if I want to study for a year in Canada?“If you want to stay in Canada for more than 6 months, you will need to obtain a Study Permit.
Contact the Canadian Embassy in your home country for more information.”Rubén De Haro, LanguageCourse.Net - Apr 25, 2023I am planning to travel with my 3 year old son to Canada soon. I would like to know which schools you recommend.“At present (2023) we do not work with any school in Canada that accepts such young students.”Rubén De Haro, LanguageCourse.Net - Apr 18, 2023I would be interested in going for 2 months to learn to speak fluent English and if possible to do some voluntary work or work for a few hours.“We can help you with the booking of your course or course + accommodation, but for everything related to the possibility of being able to work during your stay and/or visas, it is better to contact the embassy, as we do not take care of this.”Rubén De Haro, LanguageCourse.Net - Apr 14, 2023Do you work with any language schools in Canada that only accept university students?“In general language schools offer programmes for juniors (under 18) and adults (18+ or 16+).
While we do not partner with schools that offer student-only programmes at this time, we can recommend schools where the average age of students is low which means you have a better chance of meeting students of similar age there.”Gosia Mazur, LanguageCourse.Net - Apr 07, 2023Are there any English courses for adults combined with football in Canada?“At the moment, our partner schools do not offer this type of course. In Canada, adults can combine learning English with volunteering, art, photography or cooking.”Gosia Mazur, LanguageCourse.Net - Apr 03, 2023There is no information on the airlines, do I understand that they do not offer this service?“If you are asking whether flights can be purchased through us, the answer is no. What we can do is arrange an airport pick-up through the school.
This can be requested directly on our registration form, or at a later date by providing your arrival flight details well in advance. This is always the safest option, as you will be taken from the airport of arrival to the door of your assigned accommodation. The price of such a service is usually higher than a taxi, as a driver has to drive to the airport and wait for you in the arrivals terminal until you arrive. ”Rubén De Haro, LanguageCourse.Net - Mar 30, 2023I would like to get more information about the courses and about visas, as I am from Venezuela.“On our website you can consult the profiles of the different schools we work with in Canada and get as many quotes as you like.
The regulations for obtaining a visa are quite delicate and change constantly, so it is best to always contact the embassy or consulate of the country you are going to visit in your home country.
”Rubén De Haro, LanguageCourse.Net - Mar 16, 2023Is it possible to make weekly payments?
“You can book as many weeks as you like, but please note that all fees must be paid before the course starts. Once your course has started, you can extend and pay as you book additional weeks, as long as the school has availability.”Rubén De Haro, LanguageCourse.Net - Feb 17, 2023How long is the course?“The duration of the course is from one week to 51 weeks, according to your preference.”Sawsan Zein, LanguageCourse.Net - Feb 10, 2023Are there any summer study camps for 16-year old student?“Yes, you can choose the course type "Children and Teenager English Camps" at the top of the page.
All the courses for juniors will be displayed on this page.
You can choose the appropriate course for your child according to the appropriate age range indicated by the course name.”Susan Wang, LanguageCourse.Net - Nov 24, 2022Is there the possibility to stay in a residence in any city in the USA or Canada even if I’m 17 years old?“The minimum required age to book residential accommodation is 18 years old. Students under 18 can book homestay accommodation.”Ana Carolina Dos Santos, LanguageCourse.Net - Nov 17, 2022In order to be in Canada for just one month, do Mexicans need a visa or is the eTA enough?“Mexican citizens, among other nationalities, have the benefit of obtaining a pre-approved Visitor status for 6 months. The rest of the nationalities, all need to process a student visa (Study Permit), regardless of how long they are going to be in Canada.
If your idea is to be in Canada for only one month, you only need to obtain the eTA. With a valid eTA, you can travel to Canada as often as you want for short stays (normally for up to six months at a time).
An eTA doesn’t guarantee entry to Canada. When you arrive, a border services officer will ask to see your passport and other documents. You must convince the officer that you are eligible for entry into Canada.”Rubén De Haro, LanguageCourse.Net - Mar 07, 2022FAQ about courses in Canada

”Rubén De Haro, Area Manager - Spanish from LanguageCourse.net - Jun 16, 2022I am interested in booking a 16-week course and wanted to know if I can pay the cost of the course in monthly installments.“Full payment of the booking is divided in two. The first payment, which is paid at the time of making the online booking, it corresponds to 30-35% of the total value of the reservation, and is charged as soon as your place is confirmed. The second and last payment is paid to the school. Regardless of the school you choose, most of them require that 2 or 3 weeks before the starting date everything is already paid.”Rubén De Haro, Area Manager - Spanish from LanguageCourse.Net - Apr 22, 2022Can I apply for a 12-week language course for Canada with my American tourist visa?“If you are planning to study in Canada you need to apply for an eTA or a study permit.
