Additional information
Positive aspects of school
Top lessons! Dedicated teacher, free time programme also great!
Negative aspects
The classroom was a bit unfavourable. The other students had to walk through our classroom to go to the toilet.
Other comments
Information about public transport.
City/place
Well located, connection to public transport.
Quality of teaching / language progress
Very good
Accommodation
I cannot recommend this accommodation. No outside area, e.g. balcony. I changed the flat and paid an extra 15 euros per day. Would rent an AirBNB instead, it's cheaper and closer to the school.

Additional information
Positive aspects of school
The location of the school is great and the teachers are nice. The learning atmosphere was good.
Negative aspects
Afternoon activities & excursions were NOT beeing offered by the school. I was informed that if I'd like to go some place or would like to something in the afternoon I will have to propose it and get a group together. If I have to look things up myself and propose it to the other students I do not need to pay the school afterwards for it, that really is ridiculous! Also the second day I asked to add private lessons but it failed not due to the capacity (the teacher was more than willing and had the time) but due to the absence of the principal for 2 weeks with no one being in charge. As I was only provided with a bill with a total of more than 1200,-€ as it contained the cost of parts of the course as well (but which I had already paid). There was no personal communication possible for me until Tuesday on my third(!) week and unfortunately I was also NOT able to book via LanguageCourse.net! Once the principal was back, the school usually started with a delay due to the fact that the teachers don't have a key for the school and him being late in general.
Insider tips about what future students should not miss
It's best to rent a car at least for a few days. In Gosier itself you shouldn't miss the Friday market, the little island Gosier and I also loved the panoramic flight with a sea-plane.
Other comments
You should have a clear idea of what you want to learn / focus on (e.g. grammer, speaking, ...) and communicate it so the teacher can prepare the classes accordingly. Otherwise don't expect too much as the school barely offers anything else.
City/place
Nice place, not as touristy as Saint Anne!

Positive aspects of school
Nice teachers who listen to us. Positive: after two weeks of not being able to keep up with the class, when more people arrived (the class was full), a teacher was organised for me who went through the basics with me that I needed in order to be able to understand anything at all.
Negative aspects
In my opinion, the school as it is currently organised is not suitable for beginners. Despite the placement test, I was in a class where I couldn't keep up at all. I also lacked structure. There were no grammar lessons and no conversation. It felt like they did this and that. With the assumption that you already understand everything and learn more grammar. I expect more conversation lessons from a language school.
Insider tips about what future students should not miss
Trip with the Seaplane from Gosier! Definitely a must-do. :)
Other comments
Excursions are not actively organised by the school. They can be organised on request. But these trips are chaotic and more expensive than going on your own. It is best to rent a car yourself or join forces with other students.
City/place
Small old town, 2 public beaches. It's OK. If the school wasn't there, I might have gone to another town. But the people are very friendly!
Quality of teaching / language progress
As a beginner think carefully whether this is the right choice to start with the learning.

Positive aspects of school
Afternoon activities and excursions were difficult due to the political situation, so I refrain from judging this point. Yannick went to great lengths to ensure the well-being of all of his students.
City/place
Le Gosier as a city would actually be pretty, but sadly the picture was clouded a little because of the barricades.
Quality of teaching / language progress
Lessons very well designed

I find it to be an excellent course.
Quality of teaching / language progress
This school has an excellent approach to teaching French. Ample time to practice by group discussion, games, summarizing after watching a video. We had lots of in class activities that forced us to utilize the French language.

Additional information
Positive aspects of school
IMLC did not reach my expectations in any way, and I am very dissatisfied with my stay. However, I had a great teacher, and it was not at all his fault.
Insider tips about what future students should not miss
I will not recommend IMLC to any future students.
City/place
Le Gosier is a great City - lovely little beach, delicious food, friendly locals and not too touristy.
Quality of teaching / language progress
I had chosen the beginner course, but ended up in a class with students, who had already had French for a month. When I complained about it I was completely ignored. The teacher in the class divided his time between me and the other students, which means that I only got around 2 hours of French, even though I paid for 4 hours a day.

Insider tips about what future students should not miss
Try to see as much as possible of Guadeloupe. It's definitely worth it. Depending on the length of your stay, but plan some activities for every day because there are so many things to do and see. Don't rely on public transport, it is a kind of adventure. If you want to travel around the island you will need a car and be ready for neverending traffic jams.

The levels didn't match the students, I recommend creating one more level and to place the students according to their written and oral skills, probably also the age makes a difference.
