I would definitely recommend San Sebastián to others.
Quality of teaching / language progress
Lacunza provided an additional class for seniors (1.5 hours) which was excellent! It provided an environment where we could practice speaking Spanish without feeling any pressure of the usual classroom environment. Rosa, our teacher, was excellent and also took the class on some city excursions.
Accommodation
The Home Stay worked very well for me and was very close to the school.

We had heavy rain every day. We could see the potential of the city, which is beautiful in parts but walking outside we got soaked all the time ..even with umbrellas. Very unpleasant weather and although we were very unlucky I would never again visit this part of northern Spain in November.

Friendly and helpful staff at school. Good teachers

Apart from the unbelievable city - San-Sebastian (which i can tell not only according to me but also by discussing Spanish towns with other students who have much more experience than i do) is the most beautiful and amazing city in the whole country. Lacunza is a nice place for people who honestly want to improve their language skills and at the same time to have an amazing summer vacation!

The adult classes were fine, but the camp was not beneficial for English speaking students. There were less than 12 students learning Spanish and about 120 learning English, so everything was geared toward those learning English. I would not send my children back to the camp.

The school is very professional and well organized. However the welcome letter, and especially the rules for the students is very authoritarian and disrespectful. They should write this in a much more accepting and welcoming way

Studying in San Sebastian had to be one of the best experiences of my life. I have made friends that I will never forget and learned a language that has opened the doors to so many wonderful people that otherwise I would have never known. This city is so welcoming and unique and has a nightlife like no other. Basque country baby!

Positive aspects of school
The director did an excellent job at making everybody feel comfortable and motivating students to take the study aspect seriously (Homework! I had not done that since I was at college!). It was very nice to have two different teachers on the same day with very different temperaments and methods.
Negative aspects
The classrooms are a little too small.
Other comments
A two-week stay really is a minimum. I only had time for one week and that's a shame, and also bad in terms of "value for money" because of the fixed inscription fee.
