If you're old enough, stay in a student house because then you'll meet a lot of people and it's the most independent way. Eat tapas and go out!

Insider tips about what future students should not miss
I thought that the course 'Civilización, spanish art and culture the most interesting.
Other comments
A good course and great teachers. A downpoint was that there were no hand-outs of the course material. The course material existed of a working manual and a small book only, which only covered a small part of the course. I asked the teachers which book I could use for self- tuition and she was so kind to bring me a book, but I would have been better if there were hand- outs given in class. In the end, it was a great teacher and her classes were very good.

Insider tips about what future students should not miss
Check out O'Haras in Calle de Zamora, because you get a chance to talk to Spaniards. Also you should go horseback riding in Huelva. You actually get to gallop on your own horse and the couple has a lot of interesting stories to tell.
Other comments
This school is challenging. You really have to work in order to profit from the course. This is not one of those alibi-language schools, that you "attend" between the parties.

The teacher are very friendly and enthusiastic about teaching spanish. They are always there to answer questions or correct extra homework. The school secretary is also very kind and always willing to help the students in any case. The atmosphere in school is very warm-hearted. Everybody provides help. Plus the excursions on the weekends or around the city are very well organized and accompanied by the present headmaster. She is very knowledgeable about history and history of art. It's a lot of fun with her!
Insider tips about what future students should not miss
Don't miss the excursions, it's very interesting and amusing. For Students who are not from english spreaking countries, it's useful to take a small english dictionary with you. In Salamanca you will not only learn Spanish, also improve your English. If you don't know any spanish, try to stay at least two months, three or four would be perfect to get the foundations and improve it.

try to do as much conversation in class as possible, it´s the reason why you decided to do such a course; try to get an apartment without other people from your country, you´ll profit from more variaty
Other comments
i stayed in salamanca for 4 weeks. the city is really beautiful, there are many young people and the nightlife is divertising. it´s also great for learning spanish, because it´s a real pure castellano. unfortunately the weather wasn´t very good in march, in contrary of what i expected in spain. i also missed more free time activities (by the colegio de espana) to get to know other people, the city and the whole region.
