"The language trip was organized through "Languagecourse.net" and was super easy and straightforward thanks to a dedicated German customer service agent. All questions were answered in advance. The school itself is highly professional, superbly equipped, and the teachers are fantastic. The afternoon activities were even organized just for me and were entertaining and varied."

"Tetouan is a very beautiful, typically Moroccan city with, thankfully, few tourists. The old town, with its World Heritage-listed souk, is unique and beautiful. You can immerse yourself in local life and meet locals in their everyday lives. There's no typical tourist trappings. The Mediterranean Sea is a 30-minute bus ride away. The water is clear, and even more beautiful in summer, as it's perfect for swimming. Tangier and Chefchaouen are also nearby, both worth a visit and can be reached as day trips. You can go hiking in the nearby Rif Mountains. The city is completely safe; I never felt uncomfortable or harassed. The people are friendly and helpful."

"The Moroccan host family (a host mother in her 60s with two adult daughters) lives in a beautiful, large old town house (they rent out several rooms to travelers) in the heart of the city center. The school is a 15-20 minute walk away. The family was very nice and took good care of me. The room was small but perfectly adequate. Due to the unexpectedly cold weather, the house was cold (no heating). This is something to keep in mind when traveling there in winter. The family only spoke Moroccan dialect, not classical Arabic, so communication was somewhat difficult and offered no additional speaking practice. Half board consisted of a typical Moroccan breakfast (tea, bread, jam, cream cheese, fruit). I ate dinner with the family. After they understood the concept of what a vegetarian eats, they always cooked me delicious vegetable dishes."

"The atmosphere is very informal. The people who work there are extremely friendly. The headmaster, Zayd, is incredibly helpful and takes the time to clarify things. In my case, it was the shared taxi transfer from Cabo Negro to the school and back, which apparently only locals can understand. But if you know how it works and where the stops are, it's easy to get to school. I would like to come back again to attend a more advanced course :)"

"Tetouan is the place to be! We visited a few other places (various towns on the Mediterranean coast, Chefchaouen, Tangier). Tetouan is the perfect mix - not too big, not too small and there is a lot to see. We will be back!"

"I had private lessons with Ismail, a really friendly and flexible teacher who adapted exactly to my needs. The location of the school is very central and the classrooms adequate."

Negative aspects

"Some of the course materials were faulty and poor copies. However, because I had my own documents with me, this was not so relevant for me. It was sometimes a bit noisy because the classroom doors were open or the noise came from the street when the windows were open. The digital equipment (projector or decent speakers for listening comprehension tasks) could be improved. Tétouan is probably a bit more expensive in summer due to the many tourists, especially from Spain, so the food prices were like in Europe. Instead, we explored the beautiful beaches and places in the area (Chefchaouen, Mdiq, Septa, Capo Negro, Belyounch, Fnideq, Tangier, Martil) with a rental car."

"I learned so many new things in a very short time and, thanks to the motivation of the teacher and the other students, I finally dared to apply what I had learned. The school welcomed me so warmly that I felt at home from day one. The activities in the afternoon were informative, fun and experiences for life. I learned a lot about the language, the country and myself and would recommend the school to anyone who wants an adventure and a trip that will teach you a lot for life. "I really liked everything. Everyone is very friendly and helpful ... all the time. The side offers (included in the price), such as excursions and conversation are interesting and also updated regularly, so I was really curious to see what would be offered the coming week. The option to use computers and copiers at no extra cost was something I did not know from other schools. I will definitely go there again. And also: great location of the school right in the city center."

"During the long journey from my accommodation I always had some difficulties during the "dip at lunchtime" - when you cannot get home and you get tired. Even for that it was possible to lay down on the floor of a classroom with a blanket. That says a lot about the school."
