Additional information
Positive aspects of school
An excellent language school in the best location possible! Highly experienced and talented teachers make learning a pleasure by interspersing learning, chatting and a variety of group activities. Small, evenly-skilled classes make it possible for everyone to participate. Conversation training (a separate, afternoon activity) is an absolute must in my opinion. Evening activities are a charm - both these organized by the school and impromptu ones by us, which are very easy to organize since most students live nearby. Lindau offers everything one (well, I at least) could ask for: Swimming, walks, sports, excellent restaurants, bars and cafes, a nice spa, train connections to Munich, Zurich and Bregenz, shopping at Lindau Reutin, what else could one ask for?
Negative aspects

City/place
Marvellous landscape, great for swimming, walking, sports, outings. A very pretty town with excellent restaurants, pizzerias, bars, cafes, spa, you name it. Train connections to Munich, Zurich and Bregenz (all worth visiting). Everything is nearby, the furthest I ever needed to walk was to the shopping mall (I could have caught the train or the bus instead) - this makes it so easy to organize an impromptu get-together, nothing need be planned. It is our third year there, I think that says it all...
Quality of teaching / language progress
The combination works beautifully
Accommodation
Excellent location just around the corner from Dialoge. Right next to the town centre, right next to the train station, very close to the lake too. The room I was in has a WC shared with one more room (this can be a bit inconvenient) but a private shower (very nice indeed). Everything is provided: A hob, a combination convection/microwave oven, kettle, coffee machine, toaster, lots of kitchen utensils, cutlery and crockery. Tenants should not forget to bring a bathroom towel! Maybe one for after swimming too. I heard the top-floor rooms can get a bit too warm in summer. I had a couple of issues (a blocked drain, a blown light bulb) but these were put right immediately. Terrific!

The organization of transfers to the airport. They do not give clear information.

You have to make sure during the first days that you know well the route to go to school.
City/place
It is a beautiful city that is worth seeing once.
Quality of teaching / language progress
The food is quite improvable.
Accommodation
Although they were good people, I consider that due to the large family that they are, they cannot take good care of the students staying with them. The first day they did not comply with the accompaniment to school during the entire journey and I was lost for a long time.

Quiet place to study. Few people, many tourists. An ideal climate, not hot. Good food. Both German and Italian

In June there were few people. All very quiet. Perhaps the shared bathrooms were a little distant and not enough (had the rooms been full). But otherwise not bad

Additional information
Positive aspects of school
Superb teachers (we had six!). Both interesting and interested in us. Great team spirit, challenging course (yes, OK, I took C1) in a lively though very relaxed atmosphere.
Insider tips about what future students should not miss
Don't miss ANY of the activities! Plus, conversation training, (which is optional) really worked for me, so I recommend it.
Other comments
As I understand it Dialoge is affiliated with TELC, not with the Goethe Institut. This may be an issue with test accreditation in some countries.
City/place
A truly beautiful town, situated right on the lake. It was pretty hot so many of us went swimming most days. Neat and cosy, easy to get around. A REWE supermarket has all the necessaries, and there is a shopping centre about 20 minutes. walk away where you can get practically anything. There are many very nice restaurants and a couple of nice bars - I'm a bit too old to be able to judge nightlife! Unique surroundings, lovely villages all around, and great destinations for short trips in the vicinity (Nonnenhorn, Schaffhausen, Bregenz to name a few). The school itself is conveniently located above the train station, next to the InselHostel (if you happen to stay there) and the bus terminus.
Quality of teaching / language progress
Worth every cent. Good fun, educational, challenging. As "conversation training" depends on conversation (surprise!), I would guess that the success of any particular class does depend on the pupils as well as the teachers, though I will say the teachers used very, very effective methods to strike up group conversations. I happened to join a terrific team, so needless to say, the course was superb.

Accommodation especially for 2018 was on Lindau island, at Hintere Insel 1 instead of its normal location in Herbergsweg 11 on the mainland. I visited both and actually think the premises at Hintere Insel 1 were much better in terms of location / adjacency to the school / safe access to the town. So I think it would be good if Dialoge can retain the location in Hintere Insel 1.
