the best think in school were the activities and the parties.

if you come to rome you must see piazza navona by night, in the time 3 or 4oclock, its very wonderfull.

for me it was a very nice 2 month i hope you have also a nice time in italy and you learn a lot.

Grammar and conversation in class were not clearly divided. Mistakes in class have been corrected by classmates, rather than teachers.

There should be more Italian culture and history in language courses, more done to attract older, more advanced students - and a greater variety of guided walks !

All the teachers.It is nice to learn Italian with people from all over the world.

Most of the families do not have much time to spend with the students. So communication between students and family members are often rare. One of the reasons is that most of them work full-time. If you like to live in a quiet place staying with a family is the right choice but in order to improve the language I recommend living with other students.

I had one week of private lessons and I really liked that I had 2 different teachers during that week. Every evening the school organized different programmes like guided tours to a special part of Rome which you don't find in the usual guide books, or film evening, or literature lessons for free and the weekend they organize trips to places in the area surrounding Rome (this costs little money and are well organized).

In the school there is a nice little bar where one can have coffee (€0,70) etc and even for lunch they offer 3 different simple meals... I mention this, because the host families also offer breakfast - but as they don't have the same breakfast "mentality" as we have for €3,5 they often only offer coffee and biscuits so one could save money by eating at the school!

Classes are based on conversation and a lot of teamwork with your classmates, which is nice, so you get to know them. A bit of a do it yourself attitude. I learned the most in every day life though, meeting friends. The city is just beautiful.

Open-minded and friendly staff in general. teaching method is probably more useful for longer-lasting stays.

Afternoon courses are not great if you already have a reasonable level.

It was great to be able to spend 6 weeks in Rome, the school was good but progress was slow - probably because the higher your level the more difficult the progress becomes. I would recommend this course and do it again...

it was really wonderful to meet students from all over the world. Although i have been there for only two weeks i think that i have found really good friends there. it was a great time in Rome this summer!

do not go to Rome in August. the city is full of tourists, half the restaurants, bars, clubs are closed for vacancies. so July or September is just perfect. (and less hot!)
