"Very good location. Friendly and committed teachers. You can always contact the director/school staff if you have any questions. Our teacher in the course was very good, the conversation part was not so useful as there were different groups together. The teacher was very good, it just wasn't a good fit in terms of the group mix."

"-The placement test was not good. I and another participant had "intermediate" as a test result, although I didn't receive any communication about the result. In the end, however, we were in the Advanced C1 level, and that was also suitable in terms of knowledge.
- I didn't receive an information email or a timetable. Another student received the information email but no timetable either.
- The course is only done with the course book. There were also games, but they were not very useful. A game about countries and flags - so I learnt that I'm bad at geography. But it didn't help my language skills. But otherwise the teacher was very good and explained a lot.
- Conversation part, as already mentioned, was not so useful for C1 students, because we were also with B2 students, and some of them had a lower level."

"1. According to the online tests, the level of students' discussion was not distinguished, and students who mastered grammar, but did not know how to discuss, got into courses with a higher level (as me).
2. In one cours there were 8 people from 10 from Japan, Korea and China. Students learn by listening and talking to other students - not just the teacher. Their pronunciation was terrible - often not even the teacher understood them. This is not the way to learn and improve in the English language."

"The classroom where the group lessons were held was very noisy as it was opposite the stairs and had no source of natural light.
I had to ask them to close the door because I could hardly hear what was being said.
On the first day, the heating was not turned on despite the cold weather.
In my opinion, the teacher did not give sufficient explanations, limiting herself to reading the lessons on the page and then leaving us to do the exercises for too long.
I found myself waiting for several minutes after finishing the exercises.
The lesson always ended five minutes early and in the morning we waited for latecomers to arrive.
In my opinion, the teacher looked at her mobile phone a little too often."

"I really liked the location of the school. It's really nice to walk around during the breaks and enjoy the amazing view of the sea and the entertainment centers and cafes of Valletta. The teachers I studied with were professional and great! Patient Brian, enthusiastic Bob and funny Ed. It was nice to meet students from different cultures and ages."

"I did not always receive an update about a sick teacher or a change in the location of the class and it was necessary to find out about this at the secretary. In addition, there were students who told me that they did not take the preliminary test, and I definitely noticed that there were classes in the morning hours attended by students whose level did not match the level of the class."

It is important that they receive guidance because goodwill and charisma are not enough. I know that everyone goes through a course before they teach and also a test and you have supervision, but as a teacher for 20 years I think that if you want to be really professional you should invest in teacher training."

"The quality of the English course depends strong on the teacher. In 2 weeks I had 2 different teachers for a Grammar course and one teacher for a Conversation course. It makes a big difference by whom you will be taught. In the second week I had a more mixed group of nationalities and it was more fun to work with people from all over the world. You can not really choose the English teacher, because the school normally build the language groups after one placement test at the beginning of the course. The second teacher of mine was incredible good! Fantastic, prepared for each lesson and motivated to let us know about some tricky grammar and pronunciation rules. I learnt a lot in the second week, more than in the first one. And I was also able to improve my language skills and to reach the next language level. The classrooms were not really comfortable. Sometimes the air was not good. The biggest problem was the furniture for me. The school has some classrooms without tables, only with chairs. These chairs are not nice, the backs are too short. To sum up I had back-ache the whole first week during which we had to use this classroom."

The composition of the classes changes almost every Monday. Some more efforts could be made to bring together people who share the same study period.
Still on the composition of the classes, it must be said that sometimes people with good vocabulary and good understanding are mixed with other people who are completely incapable of speaking. These different levels slow down our learning.
Despite having paid €35 for teaching material, we were only provided with photocopies dispensed day by day.
They should all be provided together on the first day of the course.
On average, the study period lasts two or three weeks, if for some reason you are unable to go to school one morning it would be advisable to have the teaching material available and maybe even the exercises.
There is no photocopier available for students.
Ultimately, excellent teachers but the school can improve."

"At first, in the point of attitude, as my teacher, Bear, said, students shouldn't hesitate to ask their teachers to repeat what they say if they can't understand. Because they can't improve their English if they don't clarify what they understand. Never give up, don't mind the mistakes even if they are laughed at.
If they (especially from Japan) can't speak at first, they should write what they want to speak and should read it at home and practice in the class and with the host family or other students.
Moreover, in terms of manners, it isn't good to squeeze one's nose in Europe like in Japan. I didn't know the manners and had some students feel uncomfortable when I caught a cold."

"Stock of money, about the transfer of (not worry about the name will be met), to feel light and from the 1st day to dive into friendliness, good apartments to choose is important because Many young people from other countries housing does not fit, take one exercise book, try the rabbit and Pastizzi (trad kuh..), to visit the local attractions (especially islands), to get acquainted with all the diasporas (incredibly interesting people), on things: any convenient and beautiful for exit at concerts and parties."

"I share the views expressed by many other participants of the course, from downloading additional fee of 35 € for the materials to science is unimaginable! - In class, a total of five (5!) Sheets of A4 photocopying (some were designed for 2 or 3 people); while the book are the property of the school and were used only a few times - nota bene: a great bizness! :) one side of photocopying the price of 7 € !!!"
