Easy to reach by public transport

I was very disappointed. The class was only me and 2 other students, aged 38 and 68. No social activities took place between us. The class was shortened from 4 hours (which I paid for!!!) to 2 hours. Before the class started there was no intake test. The levels between one of the students and I, and a third students differed a lot. Because if this we went very slow, for the sake of the low levelled student. Also, in my 120 page book we only reached page 50 by the end of the course. I am still not able to have a short conversation in Turkisk.

Teachers

I had private lessons, instead of group lessons, because I was the only student of level 4.

There are no other activities organised by the school. The schedule of the lessons differed, day tot day. This was no problem for me but should be taken in consideration.

I was in the same host family as a Dutch man. We share the same mother language, which is not so productive to learn the language. But I was very happy about the level at the school, it was very well adjusted. My teacher, Mehtap, was the best! The host family is very warm and friendly. We were treated like close family members!

Despite that there were only 2 beginner students and only 1 advanced student, they did their very best to give us the maximum benefit from the lessons. In fact we had private lessons.

I hope to attend the language school again next year.

Kleine Klassen, wir waren nur 4 Schüler und unsere Lehrerin Gökce!!!

wir waren nur zu zweit in der gruppe und die lehrerin war sehr gut, sodass der unterricht sehr intensiv war.

leider, hat man uns aufgrund der tatsache, dass wir nur zu zweit waren die stundenzahl von 4 stunden pro tag auf 2 stunden am tag reduziert, bei dem gleichen preis, von 340 euro für 2 wochen. bei dilmer zahlt man so viel für einen ganzen monat. also sehr teuer und ein bisschen betrogen kamen wir uns auch vor, stand wohl im kleingedruckten, dass das erlaubt sei.

Die LehrerInnen waren sehr gut, hohes Unterrichtsniveau

Die EFINST Sprachschule reduziert den Unterricht bei weniger als 5 TN, in meinem Fall fand nur die Hälfte des Unterrichts statt, weder wurde vorher darüber informiert, noch gab es einen Preisnachlass. Auch wenn der Unterricht natürlich intensiver wird, sind nur 2 h pro Tag nicht ausreichend.

Ich empfand es als eine sehr unpersönliche Schule,hauptsächlich lernen an Ihr Türken Englisch

Der Kurs war sehr klein, deswegen konnte man schnell lernen.

Bei Freizeitaktivitäten habe ich die niedrigste Bewertung gegeben, weil von der Schule keinerlei Freizeitaktivitäten angeboten wurde. Aber wieso auch, es ist doch nur ein Sprachkurs?

Hohe Flexibilität

Das Curicullum war nicht ganz durchdacht, so wurden in Übungen und Hausaufgaben Vokabeln und Formen gebraucht, die noch nicht eingeführt waren. Ohne Lexikon und eigene Fantasie, keine Chance

Freundlichkeit der Mitarbeiter. Entspannte aber sehr lern-effektive Atmosphäre.

Small classes!

I took the intensive two week beginner course of Turkish course at the EF Language Centre in Istanbul, and it was excellent. Especially because the classes were small (3-4 persons) and the emphasis was on conversations, which was most valuable during the rest of my stay in Turkey! (Normally I would prefer reading and writing.) I have to say I was really surprised by the level at which I was able to speak Turkish after only a two week course!!! Downside was that the airconditioning was never working properly, which made it hard to stay focussed (given that it was > 30 celsius).
