The professors were excellent and the staff was also very friendly. They helped students find fun activities outside of class and made sure everyone felt welcome. The class content was a perfect mixture of grammar, conversation and culture.
Insider tips about what future students should not miss
You really need a car to get around Martinique. Not for getting to school, but to visit the island. Public transportation is a challenge.

The location is very central and the school is easy to reach. The very good technical equipment makes it easy to work. The friendliness and competence of Sandrine conveys a pleasant and learner-friendly climate. I would like to thank everyone very much.

My private lessons with Brigitte were great. I learned a lot from host Georgette.
Insider tips about what future students should not miss
Take private lessons only. Group classes were a huge waste of money.
Other comments
My teacher for 3 weeks had no idea how to be a teacher. I would have learned more sitting at home listening to podcasts. Classes routinely started 10 minutes late and ended 15 minutes early. The time in between was spent quietly doing exercises that either should have been done verbally or as homework.

Nice atmosphere, everyone working there was very friendly and obliging. Marielle is great and very helpful.
Insider tips about what future students should not miss
Don't just go to the beach, check out the small museums in Fort-de-France. Rent a car and visit the zoological garden "Habitation Latouche" near Le Carbet - the landscape gardeners did an amazing job.
Other comments
I was only there for a week and did not participate in any social activities. This is why I didn't give a rating for this category. France Langue in Martinique offers only two levels, so I would recommend beginners or very advanced learners to go somewhere else. It's perfect for learners at an intermediate level.

Positive aspects of school
Our teacher, Brigitte, was a VERY good teacher. And the rest of the staff is EXCELLENT: Ms Priska and Ms Marielle.
Other comments
I found that starting the course at 10:00 am on Mondays is not acceptable because it takes time from hours we paid for. There are a couple of activities that could be consulted with students first for opinions. The facilities are cramped. There's space (2 terraces) for expansion but they're not being put to use. Transportation in Martinique, aside from the Navettes, is not reliable. Fortunately, our teacher provided her car free of charge for excursions and the students who rented cars provided rides for the rest of us.

Insider tips about what future students should not miss
While having a car on Martinique is advantageous, it is also possible to find accomodation either centrally in Fort-de-France or to commute by ferry boat from Trois-Îlets (20-30 min.), a tourist destination with beautiful beaches, hotels, and a small marina on the southern shore of the Bay of Fort-de-France. The school provides students with a discount for the ferry as well as for other forms of public transport (a rapid bus service connecting Fort-de-France to some of its Eastern suburbs and the airport is due to launch in late 2016). If you however come to school by car, there is plenty of free parking available near the cruise terminal, approx. 5 min. walking distance from the school.
