The school is very centrally located. My teacher was very good, Giorgi, the owner of the school, with whom I also stayed, was very nice and supported me very well with all my questions

Negative aspects

Both my teacher and Giorgi didn't speak German, only English. I had not expected that. That was not a problem overall, but sometimes explanations in German would have been more helpful.

Tbilisi is a very beautiful city, but too hot in summer

My room was the children's room of the two sons who had been moved out during my stay. I had not expected that. Overall, however, the accommodation was very good and the support from the host family was excellent.

I know a Tbilisi well. It’s not my first time

The school was below standard! In actual fact, there is no school. It was a little room with a sign outside! No one will be able to find the place. It was an old Soviet run down building with dark long corridors and the toilets on the second floor were stinking, dirty and crutch toilets. The whole place was way below standard. The only good thing about this place was the excellent teacher! She was marvelous! The building should be torn down. It was impossible to find the room. Actually the were two rooms. One room had no air con and it was so hot, I was just sweating and couldn’t concentrate!!!!

As the school has absolutely no sign outside it's very hard to find. Luckily the director picked me up on the street by pure chance!

No excursions or events. Only a few books, but mostly work with printed materials or directly from the computer. when nobody is in the office (unsuitable for groups). The teacher has no access to the printer!

No social events are organised in Winter, but that is understandable as there are fewer students.

You can take private lessons cheaply. It was great location where the subway station was a 1 minute walk to the school, and the school to apartment was a 1 minute walkt. There was also a small supermarket in front of the school.

The location of the apartment was good, but when I arrived there was a lot of things that wasn't cleaned and there were a lot of damages. When I consulted with the school, they repaired and responded immediately. Both Russian and English were available at the school. I think that it is a good deal with the round-trip transfer between the airport and the apartment.

It was inconvenient that I could not pay the credit card. Remittance fee is high.

Nothing was right, it seems to me this is a scam. Too expensive for really bad teaching in something named school that doesn't even have a sign on the 3 rooms it owns in a building.

Don't go there for private Russian lessons. Teaching is not good and you won't meet other students. I've been learning Russian in Moscow and Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan), it was way better there, and even cheaper.

Other comments

The teacher was nearly only speaking to me in English. I was just reading the book and the only interaction was asking for vocabulary. Even reading dialogues, I would have to read all the characters myself. How can you learn the pronunciation or the rhythm if no one is speaking to you in the language you're learning? You're paying for the lessons, but the teacher tries to finish early each day.
