"Very good organisation of the work of the secretariat. There is a very cordial (almost family) atmosphere in the school. Additional activities allowed me to get to know the city better and thanks to the guide lady I learned a lot about the history of the city. The classes in my group were led by a wonderful teacher. Already after a week of classes, I feel that I am expressing myself much more freely in Italian. I am very satisfied and in the future I will want to take the course organised by L'Italiano Porticando school in Turin again."

The teachers are of an exceptionally high standard, directly overqualified for a language school, but this benefits the students. "The teachers and the management team are great. The rooms are bright, friendly and clean. The school always offers mineral water during class. For free. "It's simply a great place to learn Italian."
City/place
"The school is right in the center. Very close to very good restaurant. There is also an information sheet in the school. The pedestrian zone starts right around the corner. From there, you can explore many sights on foot. I myself have been to the opera, to various plays and to the cinema. There are still really big cinemas there, which has screenings already at 4 pm. I already speak Italian well and have explored and seen a lot. There are interesting markets all over Turin, with the Porta Palazzo market being the best. Especially the farmers' market, where fresh products from the area are offered, and the market hall (Mercato centrale) right next to it, where you can choose raw products that are then prepared directly. There are various excursions organized by the school. I went to the Langhe with them. It's a wine-growing area around Alba. Beautiful area. There was a wine tasting with typical small dishes from the area. Very, very good. It also included a city tour in Alba with a visit to a hazelnut factory. There you could try differently prepared hazelnuts and products made from hazelnuts and see the production process. It was very nice, too."

"Very good, motivated and motivating teachers. Plus a great management team that takes care of everything and everyone. Always helpful and friendly. Everyone who works there is interested in good, success-oriented teaching. You can learn Italian very well here."
Accommodation
"The hostess was very friendly and helpful. I booked accommodation without meals. I could cook something for myself in the kitchen. There was space for my groceries in the refrigerator. Dishes, pots, etc. everything was there. I could use the washing machine and hang laundry on the balcony in good weather. The apartment is located in a beautiful palazzo. The room is large, has a double bed, wardrobe, desk, chairs. Everything is clean and tidy. There is a bathroom with a toilet, sink, bidet and shower. A bus stop is right around the corner and the Torino Porta Nuova train station is around 15 minutes' walk away."

Quality of teaching / language progress
"The 50+ course was excellent, only 4 students in class, based on Italian culture and with an excellent teacher. The additional week was also very good. Although with more students (9), another excellent teacher who encouraged to participate in class and the material used was very adequate."
Accommodation
"Although the apartment is not luxurious it has everything you need and is well located. They do not change towels, sheets, or clean until departure, so for long stays you must clean everything yourself. Positive aspects of school
"The teachers and the staff are extremly welcoming, friendly and open - I guess real Italians. :) There is tea, coffee and cookies for free during the breaks. Even though I just took four lessons durning my first week, the school gave me the beginner volume of their schoolbook, plus the next week the following volume. Their own school material is really practical because you have everything you need already together and don't need to collect papers and put them in order yourself."
Insider tips about what future students should not miss
"My hostmum brought me to some "Lindy Hop" events. This was a great opportunity for me to get in touch with locals. The people at these events are very friendly and will teach you some steps to be able to dance with them. If you're interested in participating in any local activity, you should check out the "casa del quartiere". They organise different courses and help you to get in touch with locals."

"The hostmum they organised for me was amazing. The food she cooked for me was real Italien style: with anti-pasti, primo, secondo and dolci. She also took me on a ride on her Vespa (typical Italian scooter) when we went to the center. In general she was very caring and interested in talking to me, telling me more about the life of Italians which helped me improve my Italian even more AND gave me an insight into the culture."
