Additional information
Positive aspects of school
The location is quite good and the facilities were great.
Insider tips about what future students should not miss
Plan in advance the distances and the public transportation especially on the weekends.
Other comments
The staff of the school were very nice and helpful.
City/place
Toronto is a very affordable and nice city to live and work.
Quality of teaching / language progress
I miss a little more time for grammar and my program focused more on teaching some expressions or corrections to improve how to communicate apart from conversation in general, but that's OK.
Accommodation
All was good, but I missed the possibility to use kitchen, though it was ok as the meals were included and microwave as well. It was far from city center, but in Toronto the distances are huge. The area and neighborhood were nice and comfortable.

Insider tips about what future students should not miss
Choose your accommodations carefully.
Other comments
I highly recommend Quest to English to students of any level.
City/place
Everyone is so friendly and there are a lot of interesting sites to visit. It was, however, surprising to see how dirty the streets were and how many homeless people were around. Some even slept in the middle of the sidewalk or in bus stations on the main roads. They frequently begged for money, going as far as harassing customers waiting in line at stores. Nothing happened to me but some of my friends got their wallets stolen or got screamed at by homeless people, so I would rate "safety" at 3/5.
Quality of teaching / language progress
Personalized practice in very small classes, ideal for any kind of student
Accommodation
Great location and friendly, competent staff, but terribly run-down, dirty and noisy rooms. If necessary i can provide some pictures. Half the lamps, the fridge and some other appliances didn't work at all. Cooking was theoretically possible but considering how dirty everything was I wouldn't consider it safe. Another big issue is that valuables can't really be stored with insurance (no room safe, hotel safe can only hold a very limited number of small objects; I had no way of safely storing e.g. my laptop).
After one week i left my accomodation and organized myself a different one.

Insider tips about what future students should not miss
most of the students attend the courses for very long periods (3 or 6 months) so the topics treated as the activities are structured based on them, so for those like me who do a month or so see to organize yourself in order to exploit at most every single moment
Other comments
Take advantage of extra-curricular activities as much as possible, even those that do not interest you much, it is the best way to get to know people and therefore make the most of the possibility of improving your communication skills.

I really enjoyed a Pronunciation Workshop! It's good that there are different levels for a grammar section and an oral section.
Other comments
As a level of the first conversation class was a bit higher than mine, I asked to change to a lower class. However, I was motivated to change to another class of the same level. As a result, I'm happy that I could keep up with and it became my favourite class.

The teachers, the competence and the teaching method. They encourage dialogue and are always available.
Insider tips about what future students should not miss
The school should be seen as a starting point, it is then up to the student to seek dialogue to improve their fluency. It would be better to speak with native people, because you have to consider that your classmates can make mistakes (we all are students!). Consider then that in the classroom can arrive people not really interested in learning and that they can slow down or hinder your best intentions to learn the language.
Other comments
Wonderful school and professional. In my opinion the entrance test is wrong. The grammar test has no time limits and the oral test is often not reliable (they should consider the excitement of the first day and that the assessment can't be exhausted on a handful of questions.) In any case, you can ask to change to a higher class or lower.

I think that participants should know that the school works with a company that organizes three days trips to New York, so if they could they will have the opportunity to book it for a longer period.

Insider tips about what future students should not miss
About the school I have absolutely no hits. The residence itself was not too bad in terms of facilities. Although it was very old, things were clean. And the location was also very good and is about 25 minutes walk from the school and is in the downtown area, giving the possibility to walk to all sites without having to get the card and metro was not cheap.
