Additional information
Positive aspects of school
StudioItalia not only teaches language skills very well in class, but also cultural knowledge at the same time. The teachers encourage the participants to learn and always seem very positive and organised. The emphasis is on active use of the language. The course participants were also always very nice and supported each other in learning and understanding.
Negative aspects
Unfortunately, afternoon activities were only planned and offered towards the end of my stay. However, the one event I was able to participate in was very nice.
City/place
Rome has a lot to offer and there is something new to see every day. However, large crowds of visitors are part of the experience.

Positive aspects of school
I really liked the learning atmosphere and the committed teachers. The learning group was small, the people very motivated and interesting. It was easy to make great progress in the foreign language in a short time.
Negative aspects
It was necessary to wear the mask for the entire lesson. And in the breaks, because of the corona regulations, you couldn't stand together at the coffee machine. That was important, but also stressful and a pity.
Insider tips about what future students should not miss
The teachers had good recommendations on where to get a good breakfast or lunch - and some other insider tips. Just ask, depending on what you are interested in, and then go there :) This way you get to see things in Rome that regular tourists don't necessarily discover.
Other comments
Very good location in the city, humorous and open-minded learning atmosphere and interesting people in the course :)
City/place
It is an inspiring and lively, friendly city. I hope to visit it more often.
Quality of teaching / language progress
My course was entertaining, effective and interesting. I had the afternoons at my disposal. That was nice because I wanted to see and experience Rome. But it was also a pity because I would have liked to learn Italian for one more lesson. I would have liked to stay two weeks longer.

Positive aspects of school
There are a maximum of 7 students per class; it allows you to speak and ask questions easily and therefore to progress faster; and then it's more user-friendly, we all get to know each other very quickly! The students came from all over the world: Bangladesh, Philippines, Afghanistan, Brazil, Russia, United States, Belgium, it is very enriching. I was by far the oldest but didn't feel a barrier about it. We had 2 teachers every morning; it avoids monotony and in addition they complemented each other very well. It's a small school, there are 3 classes; it gives an atmosphere that I really liked.
Negative aspects
It was very good!
City/place
You have to live Rome and not just visit it. It has an immense cultural wealth due to its history. By spending more time there one perceives the identity of the districts of Rome as well as the preserved traditions (many "small trades" disappeared in France).
Quality of teaching / language progress
It was a beginner's course. I found the progression well suited.

Additional information
Positive aspects of school
Friendly, helpful and flexible teachers, the good teaching atmosphere, the flexible approach to topics and environment of the students
Negative aspects
Very cramped rooms, outdated equipment of the classrooms, partly outdated teaching materials (their content, and presented as loose worksheets), the sometimes too fast speaking speed of the teachers, only one toilet (!) for approx. 20 students, no coffee machine (to avoid exceeding the time allocated for study breaks)
City/place
Unique city with an incredible amount of history and culture, definitely worth seeing! It remains incomprehensible that apart from the historical core, little is being done for the public sector (renovation of the streets, garbage disposal, replacement of the ailing trams, reduction of emissions ...).
Quality of teaching / language progress
A detailed placement test, also oral, on site would be extremely helpful.

Positive aspects of school
The teachers tried very hard to include every course participant, they also explained very well and continued until one understood it. Another plus point is the number of students - we had a maximum of five.
Negative aspects
On the first day in the morning it was a bit chaotic, tables and chairs were also a bit damaged.
City/place
A great city that has a lot to offer - sights, shopping, food, nightlife, nice people. Not so nice is the garbage and the rental e-scooters that are lying around everywhere.

I spent 2 weeks at StudioItalia and I really recommend this language school. The lessons help you a lot specially on the conversation as many of the lessons are based on discussions, debates and natural conversations. The teachers are always willing to help you and teach you anything related or not with the topic covered. The school also organised after class workshops which are fun and give you a chance to socialise. If you are planning to take a short or long course, I really recommend this school! Margarita

* Very friendly and highly motivated teachers * A nice, relaxed atmosphere * The price is lower than other schools. My one criticism would be that during, at least, some of my time there, students who had different language levels were put into the same class. Apart from that, the teachers were excellent.

Insider tips about what future students should not miss
You arrive where you arrive. Everything is in motion, no beginning, no end. It can be disorienting and hard to determine one's level.
Other comments
Tiny space. No hang out space for students. The woman instructor was kind but spoke way too loud, especially in 1-on-1 classes. The bad weather killed it for me. Icy rainy weather; easy to stay home and study in bed, especially since I was caught in between levels. More basic grammar work would have been nice. Too much drama.

The Monday placement test registered on the site does not exist. I personally did not pass an evaluation test I found myself (depending on the place I think) well above my level. As a consequence, I did not learn anything in oral and stay my stay was ruined because I could have made friends at my level. (Because in my class no one knew how to speak Italian). With only a week left too short to change. I would like to add that I was counting on the activities as indicated on the website but they are not available all the time(lack of students / participants which can be understood)

Awesome school, I really liked the fact that the teachers were replaced at times, it made the training even more lively. Very friendly school staff, they know all the students by name, even the administrative staff, people who have never conducted classes, for example, in my group, knew everyone. In general, besides the quality of teaching, I would like to mention a wonderful atmosphere. This is not my first language course, but the feeling this time is even more joyful than usual. Many thanks to the school!
