They were always very nice and helpful. I had two teachers. The second one, Astrid, was good.
Negative aspects
The school offered and confirmed a course they didn't have and the solution, private lessons, did almost nothing for me with the first teacher.

Hello Rubén, I have been in the academy for a few days. Teachers use a good method, in three days I have learnt what I could not in 3 weeks. The location is very good. The only bad thing is that you have to pay for the activities, as a suggestion it could be included in the price.

The school is really well located and the staff is nice. People are very friendly.

TANDEM Köln is a good school with a good value for money.
The professors are comprehensive and professional.
The only negative point is the difference in the teaching methods from a teacher to another.
The organisation and the structure of the courses are not the strongest points of the school.
Generally speaking, I had a really good time in this school and will come back as soon as possible.

Some teachers were very enthusiastic, they cared about the students' personal interests.
Other comments
Regarding accommodation, the school proved to be disorganised at the end of my journey. On the other side I'm thankful for the support they showed to me when I had problems with the landlady of my first apartment. Some teachers are not as committed as others being that they consider their job at the school as a sideline job. The school also offers free internet but the reception is useless due perhaps to the constitution of the building. I would say it was a good experience and that I'm satisfied with it.

rent a bike, cologne is not too big and you can bike anywhere. public transport is quite expensive here

the people in the school are very friendly. It is a lot of fun. School has a great location and Cologne is a great city.

When you get to a new country, one of the most common things that can happen to you is trying to adapt yourself. Try to be positive and persistent in order to enjoy your stay as much as possible. Discover everything around you and try to understand all the different cultures.
Other comments
The school is very conscious that students come from different countries, so they do welcome us in the best way in order our adaptation to the new place is as pleasant as possible. Tandem Köln also offers the possibility of combining classes in the morning with activities in the evenings, which favors the integration with the rest of the students.

Our former school was small, but okay. We moved into our new and very nice facilities in July 2006. The student himself did not assist regularly to class, so his progress in learning German couldn't be really good. The other students of his class have been happy with the quality of teaching.

Almost every day they have parties at the public bar or someone's house.
