Additional information
Positive aspects of school
It was a really great organisation. I never felt alone. The group fitted together very well. It was good togetherness. We were motivated to speak, which is not always the case with language courses. The host family was a very good choice. I particularly liked the fact that I had to speak Turkish with the family. You get more out of it than if you switch to English or even German. All in all, I was more than satisfied and would recommend this school to anyone.
Negative aspects
I can't point out anything negative.
Other comments
No matter what age.Everyone feels welcome and the window to life is opened wider.
City/place
It's a good place to live. Very modern. Favourable public transport offers.
Quality of teaching / language progress
I learnt more than expected.
Accommodation
I had a nice single room. I was fully integrated. All the family members treated me with respect and love. A long-term friendship could develop. In terms of food, I was asked what I wanted and was given an insight into traditional cuisine.

Rüya and Koray are very good and patient teachers. They made learning Turkish fun! The small group of 5 students was perfect. The location in Bostanli is nice and very well connected, via ferry also to Alsancak and Konak.

Very friendly and accommodating teacher. She was able to explain everything super well and understandably on a low-threshold basis. The atmosphere was pleasant and all questions were addressed. I felt in good hands here! The assistance by Tanja was also great and I felt very well accompanied.

Accommodation
Unfortunately, I wasn't a guest in the host family, just an economic factor. I had booked "host family" because after consultation I thought that living together with the family would make it easier to learn Turkish. But since the family only got back together in the evening and then the television was switched on immediately, "beginners' conversations" (slow and easy) were seldom possible. I don't mind eating broad bean soup on two evenings in a row, but when other family members get freshly cooked food, but you get warmed up from yesterday, that's not nice. I felt the high point of the rejection when the family got together for dinner on the festival of sacrifice and they put a plate in the kitchen for me. Since the school management had close, also private contact with the host family, criticism was difficult to convey. With the experiences I have made, I would look for a place to stay through airbnb or something similar - even if you go out to eat three times a day, you are still cheaper and don't have to constantly be considerate without being considered yourself.

Positive aspects of school
I liked everything very much. The teachers were extremely warm, absolutely patient, fit in their field and in a good mood every day. The teaching layout is also great. 3 x 1.5 hours and breaks in between works well. Since we were very quick with the teaching material, I learned a lot in the 2 weeks! I'll be back next year !!! :)

Insider tips about what future students should not miss
With the Tram and Isbahn you can explore the city well.
Other comments
There is no library and the material (copies) are not very readable either. The accommodations (prices) are overpriced. There are no apartments as advertised on the website. The accommodation is always in apartments with the apartment owner who also lives there himself. So similar to a WG! Is really great if you have a newer building, but set too high by the price.
