Positive aspects of school
The time was wonderful! The teachers, especially Eder and Sandrita, with whom I had the most lessons, were very committed and were able to teach a lot of content really well in a short space of time. All the staff were very nice and supportive. The atmosphere at the school is very informal, I had a really good time there and can recommend the language course to anyone!
Negative aspects
I literally liked everything!
Quality of teaching / language progress
It was quite exhausting to learn so much, but the progress is great, so it was worth it!

Spanish teacher taught well.
Negative aspects
I had booked a 5-day cooking course. On the first day, I was told that I was the only one and that is why I only got 2 lessons. I was not given the option to then cancel the course. However, what was worse was that I was not allowed to cook myself. I was only allowed to spend the lessons watching what the cook was doing beyond just mixing some flour for some pancakes/tortillas and shaping the tortillas. This is not a cooking course!

With Eder we had a super teacher in the beginners' group. He understood how to teach clearly with little extra excursions and with a lot of fun. If we had had the time, we would have liked to extend our stay with him.
City/place
Eating out is very good and cheap in the small restaurants away from the tourist mile. The prices for accommodation vary enormously. We had a flat a bit closer to the outskirts of the city and rented bicycles. This made us very mobile. Mexican drivers show great consideration for cyclists, quite different from Europe!

I only did one week (2 hrs per day) in private lessons with Fernando. Great teacher and the one on one really made me focus and work on improving my spanish.
Insider tips about what future students should not miss
If you have limited time, it is worth doing private lessons. Mentally tougher, but definitely helps move your Spanish to the next level
Quality of teaching / language progress
Fernando was a great teacher. Great sense of humour and very thoughtful. His only failing is his love of the Dallas Cowboys (joke!). We had great fun discussing (in Spanish) the reason for this.

The instructors were all caring and patient with new learners like me! Learning in an immersive environment was incredible I learned more in one week than a full semester.
Insider tips about what future students should not miss
The mid morning and lunch were home made, delicious and affordable
City/place
It was very tourist focused. Many scams and more expensive than other cities I have visited.
Quality of teaching / language progress
The school placed me in the perfect environment of other learners in the appropriate level. I was ahead in some topics and played catch up in others but we supported each other and the learning was fast.

Location was perfect. Minutes away from the student residence where I was staying for the first two weeks. Quiet neighborhood.
Insider tips about what future students should not miss
Make sure you bring writing utensils and a notebook to class and take a lot of notes.
Other comments
The staff was/is there for you so don't be afraid to ask questions. I liked the layout of the school and the outdoor classes.
City/place
Nice place to visit. The climate was hotter than I anticipated for March. The city has grown so much since the last time I was here (some years back), modern yet with a slow pace. I can't wait to return!
Quality of teaching / language progress
Very intense. For the first two days I thought my head was going to explode it was so full of Spanish but things got better as I began to settle into the class
Accommodation
The ladies who attend to the student residence are so kind and approachable. I appreciated that. We had breakfast of a waffle with yogurt and I had never eaten waffles that way before and now, back at home I prepare it often.

Additional information
Positive aspects of school
They are very accommodating with regard to individual needs. I definitely recommend additional extra private lessons to work on specific things that you want and to improve your confidence in speaking the language even if you have to resort to "Spanglish" here and there!
Other comments
Two weeks was perfect. I came back with much improved Spanish from a semi-beginner with the basics only. The teachers are great and the ambiance of the school is terrific. Don't forget to go on trips to the Cenotes and the ruins. Definitely worth it!
City/place
It is a busy place, but as a single female traveller, it felt perfectly safe. Very pleasant locals, great places to eat and stay everywhere at very reasonable prices.
Quality of teaching / language progress
The course was great and I really enjoyed it.
Accommodation
The school accommodation is hard to find, because it is not identified (probably for security reasons). The directions are not specific enough. So either pay for the airport transfer directly to the school, or call the school and get exact directions to the front door. I stood opposite the door on the other side of the road for half an hour and still didn't know where it was.

Positive aspects of school
I liked the outdoor classrooms . The teachers were very efficient, fun and professional. I like that they assessed our levels each week and adapted the classes to meet our needs.

The "open" class rooms with many plants on the property which creates a nice climate, in spite of the heat.
Other comments
