These comprise of visits to museums and places of interest, film showings, walks through the city, rafting on the Arno and much more.
With Italiano Insieme, you will learn the Italian language in small classes of 12 students or less, coming from all over the world.
Classes are divided into two parts, one hour and a half each. The first part is dedicated to how the language and its structures work; the second one will focus on improving your oral skills and special care will be given to aspects like vocabulary, communication and interaction, and pronunciation.
Conversations will be held in mixed groups of students of different levels, so as to encourage interaction and personal and cultural exchange.
The course is available for a minimum of 2 weeks, but it typically is a 4-week long. This structure allows the achievement of a level according to the Common European Framework (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2) and provides a total of 80 lessons, divided into 40 conversation lessons and 40 grammar lessons. In case the group is composed of less than 3 students, the conversation lessons remain unchanged but there are 24 grammar lessons that also guarantee the achievement of the expected level.
In addition to language classes, in the afternoon you can join our cultural activities that will make you feel even more part of the city life and the AEF community. Your experience will start with a tour to get to know the school and the staff. You will then discover the city with an instructor-led walking tour and, in the following weeks, you will have the opportunity to learn more about other aspects of Italian culture: a night out to a local pizzeria, lessons on art and Florentine museums, a masterclass on opera, an Italian wine tasting, a show at the Opera Theater or another venue in Florence, and Italian language activities. Every month, our courses will end with a concert by our Music and Opera students and instructors.

“Florence, birthplace of the Renaissance. This unique city has always inspired the thoughts and creations of artists and travelers: Galileo, Leonardo, Machiavelli, Brunelleschi, Dante, Donatello are just some of the geniuses that have walked the streets that our students stroll through today, surrounded by the widespread beauty that becomes daily nourishment for their learning path. It is in this way that every single formative opportunity becomes part of a global cultural experience, from the lessons in Art History to those of cooking. Everything connects and acquires meaning. Florence is therefore the place where experiential learning becomes real and where students are truly immersed in the cultural and social context.”

Questions and answers about Accademia Europea Di Firenze
- I can speak Italian and my level is B1. However, I want to improve my level to C2 and I think I can register into a language school for B2. After B2, I can continue as C1 and C2. How long does it take to learn B2, C1 and C2?“One level lasts 4 weeks. So if the student is at B1 (we will have to check with a test if the student is really at B1) and would like to attend B2, C1 and C2, he would have to apply for a 12 weeks course.”Isabel, Secretary from Accademia Europea Di Firenze - Jul 26, 2021
