Location: Ahlan is to the north of Rabat, on the tip of the city. It is close to Rabat Beach and situated within the Rabat Medina neighbourhood. This walled area is considered the old town of Rabat. It is a lively area, with local eateries and shops lining the alleyways, and it is home to the Rabat Old Market. The school is right in the heart of the neighbourhood, with everything in Rabat Medina within walking distance.
Getting around: There is an excellent tram service that makes moving around Rabat very straightforward. The closest station to the school is Bab Chellah, which is 15 minutes by foot from Ahlan. Buses move around the neighbourhood, and into the other areas of Rabat.
Features in Rabat: The Andalusian Gardens and Kasbah des Oudayas are in the north of Rabat, a 10-minute walk from the school, and close to Rabat Beach. In the neighbouring Quartier Hassan district is the Mausoleum of Mohammed V and The Hassan Tower. These are 25 minutes by foot from Ahlan.
Course structure: The school offers group courses for the general use of the language as well as a specific course for the everyday use of the language to communicate. Private lessons are available in packages for those students who want to focus on a specific topic or work on an area of Arabic they struggle with.
