General Information on Cass Training International College
The language school Cass Training International College was founded in Sydney, Australia in 1989. Our school is situated in a modern multi-storey building in Sydney CBD, opposite the famous IMAX priding itself with the biggest 3D screen in the world, 2 minutes walk from the beautiful Darling Harbour, an extensive area almost completely dedicated to entertainment and tourism. The area has fantastic water views, ice-cream, playgrounds, parks, fountains, and many popular restaurants. The bus stops and train station are just 3 minute walk from the school. If you walk 10 minute up the road, you can enjoy the beautiful view of the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House. The school is located in Ground Floor, 188 Day Street Sydney, 2000 Sydney (Australia).

| The course is designed for advanced students who are looking for a more innovative approach to English and are interested in mastering the language of their generation. Non-standard, contemporary English is taught and practised in REAL contexts and situations. Because ‘street language’ is spoken more than written, the emphasis is on listening and speaking rather than reading and writing. Excursions and activities are a large part of the course work and some examples of the themes that will be explored include: Language used in popular songs and the music industry, advertising language & rule breaking, street language, language in socialising and romancing, humour in serials & movies, rapid speech between natives, storytelling – relating past events & emotions, nuance & subtleties, swearing & insulting language, nightclubbing & drug culture terminology, computer language, rules v usage. | English for Academic Purposes is designed to improve English language skills and academic study techniques for students to gain entry to and then do well at an English speaking university. It uses a communicative, task and text-based method to prepare students to do well in their chosen field of study.
