General Information on Lisbon
Lisbon, the capital of Portugal and also called the city of the seven hills, can be seen as the white city, mother of sailors and explorers of seas, equally seven in number. Seen from the river Tagus- one of the city's many great viewpoints - Lisbon is an impressionist picture of low-rise ochre and pastel, punctuated by church towers and domes. Lisbon has an Atlantic climate, with Mediterranean influences. Due to these characteristics, Lisbon has lots of sunny days even during the winter.

The language school CIAL Centro de Linguas was founded in Lisbon, Portugal in 1959. The school has around 20 classrooms for Portuguese teaching, in three different buildings in Lisbon. All buildings are less than five minutes walking distance from each other.
Facilities
The school is equipped with TV, video, audio recorders, computers, private units of language laboratory and students are allowed to access the Internet free of charge.
