General Information on Antigua
Antigua, the once capital of the military governor of Guatemala, was founded in the early 16th century. Built 1,500 m above sea-level, in an earthquake-prone region, it was largely destroyed by an earthquake in 1773 but its principal monuments are still preserved as ruins. During three centuries time the city, which was built on a grid pattern inspired by the Italian Renaissance, acquired a number of superb monuments.

General Information on COINED
The language school COINED was founded in Antigua, Guatemala in 1971. It is located just a block from the Central Square of Antigua. Antigua is a prized possession of this country that is proud of its impressive past.
Facilities
8 classrooms and places for private classes in the terrace. Courtyard and terrace with a beautiful view of Agua Volcano. Video and meeting room for extra-curricular activities. TV, video, DVD, sound system, several CD/cassette player. Internet access.

Best arrival airport is Guatemala City (Aeropuerto Internacional La Aurora. It takes 60 minutes by car to school.
