Location: Die Akademie is located on the spectacular Balearic Island of Mallorca, Spain, in the heart of its capital city, Palma de Mallorca. The school is located in one of the narrow streets of Palma’s historic centre, with many cafés, restaurants, and shops nearby. Attractions such as the Catedral de Mallorca, the Royal Palace of Almudaina and various museums, are within a moment's walk of the school, providing students with ample opportunities to create lasting memories of their experiences in Mallorca. The beach is also just a short walk away, ensuring that students can also enjoy the beautiful blue sea that surrounds the island whenever they like.
Course selection: Course selection with Die Akademie is vast, with the school offering lessons to learn Spanish, English, German and Russian. Spanish courses are available to students of all levels, over several schedules and intensities, with specialised Junior courses available during the summer months. Italian, French and Chinese courses are also available at certain times throughout the year.
School facilities: The school's facilities offer everything a student may need to reach their language goals in a comfortable and friendly environment. These facilities include a library, lounge area, cafeteria, fridge and microwave use for students and a student support desk for any questions or queries that may arise. Air conditioning, heating and ample natural light can be found in all classrooms, ensuring an optimal learning environment for all.

Adults - Free activities
- The activities organised in general for intensive Spanish groups would be, for example: a visit to the Almudaina Palace, the Market "Mercado del Olivar", the Cathedral, Can Joan de Saigo (they make Ensaimadas, a typical sweet from Mallorca). As an activity during classes, to practice Spanish.
Adults - Paid activities
- In the afternoons the school offers activities for adults at an extra cost, such as a wine tasting, wine and painting, visiting a tapas restaurant, etc. These have an extra cost and generally will depend on the number of students who sign up. These activities change from week to week.

"The host family was super nice and also eager to support the use of the language. The location was great, on a side street close to the old town. Not too noisy, apart from the rubbish trucks in the morning, but you probably have that problem everywhere in the city.

"The room was nice and had a deluxe bathroom. The landlady let me store some medicine in her fridge and she greeted us when we came home. The beds themselves are old spring mattresses and while adequate are not very comfortable. Location was excellent.

Is 30 hours enough to get 1 week of German educational leave ('full-time') recognised?
“The C-course with 30 units per week is a special educational leave course (for employees working in Germany). However, it should be noted that there are federal states which require more units, such as Schleswig-Holstein (40 units) and for which the school is not accredited.”
