Student opinions about Enforex, Barcelona

Liked
Teachers and the students were all very kind, the general atmosphere was very good and making contacts was very easy. The school offered excursions, which I liked very much, because they were very informative but not too touristic. They also offered night-activities.
Insider tips about what future students should not miss the excursions, and if you want to go out for dinner or something, ask at the school, they know the places with the best and cheapest food. Pay attention to your Spanish level, it can happen that you feel like you're better or not as good than the level you're in. If so, then ask to change the course, it's very easy and it's worth it.

Other comments The accommodation with the host family was not that great - I requested a non-smoker, and the woman who I lived with was a chain smoker. But mainly, it was isolating to be the only student in a place that was rather far from the school. It was difficult to meet people, and I got the "half board" package, so I always ended up having dinner with the lady. I would recommend if you do home stay to have meals away from the home so that you can go out and meet other students.

Other comments Good points: Good teachers, very nice textbooks (first one free), modern building with air-conditioning, free internet access 8.30am-9pm weekdays, lots of extracurricular activities. Bad points: Both times I have studied with Enforex they tried to overcharge me by mistake (check your bill!!!), class sizes are bigger than I expected - average 7-9, there were up to 10 in my class (not the "average 5, maximum 9 students" that their leaflet says), really small rooms in accommodation in Barcelona. If you are going to be staying for 1 month or more then you will find it much cheaper to arrange your own accommodation. If you are only staying for a few weeks, then the Enforex accommodation prices are quite good compared to hotels and hostels in Barcelona. Overall, I think the good points outweighed the bad points and I enjoyed myself here, and I learned a lot of Spanish.

Questions and answers about Enforex

  • Yes, both the accommodations and activities are organized according to ages (and also gender in the case of the dorms)
Nuria Castro, Spanish Department from Enforex - Jun 22, 2023
  • At the camp we do not charge extra for diets, but we do offer several options: vegetarian, gluten-free, dairy-free.

In addition, the dishes on offer include options suitable for Muslim students who do not eat pork.

The only option we do not specifically offer is a kosher menu, although students can choose from the menu dishes that are suitable for their diet.

In the case of allergies it is very important to have information and, in cases of severe allergies, a medical report. In these cases, children should bring the appropriate medication for possible reactions to provide to the camp staff.
Nuria, Administration from Enforex, Barcelona - Jun 28, 2023
  • Check in is at 16:00 and check out at 12:00, but we are flexible with the timetable because it depends on the flights, in case you have to arrive earlier and leave later than the established time.
