General Information on Globe English Centre

The language school Globe English Centre was founded in Exeter, England in 1978. The school is located in a quiet street in the city centre. It is a 5 min walk from the main shops, sports facilities and stations. It is also only 15 minutes from the seaside and 2 hours from the capital city of London. The school is located in 31 St Davids Hill, EX4 4DA Exeter (England).

Facilities

The modernised 19th century school building offers pleasant gardens, sun terraces and students can enjoy free access to Internet and study centre. Junior students profit from having a large recreation room and the adults a kitchen for drinks and cooking. The school provides televisions with DVDs and videos to support students studies. Skype, Wi-Fi, printing, photo copying, webcams and reservation services are all available free of charge.

Maximum duration: 10 weeks. Preferred starting dates: 10.06 and 02.09. Full activity program (2 afternoons, 2 evenings and 2 day trips), excursions and supervised transfer from host family to school and back are included in the fees. This course runs with homestay accommodation (not included in the fees)at 195 GBP per week (Executive Host Family), arrival Sundays. The school requires all Explorer students to be accompanied during their stay by a responsible guardian. At the very least, this can be an older brother or sister of a minimum of 14-15 years of age.
