Montepulciano - the ?Pearl of the XVI century? - is a beautiful renaissance town just south-east of Siena in the Tuscan region. The town is famous for its red wine (Vino Nobile) and its gorgeous landscape of vineyards and olive groves. It is also well-renowned in the international cultural scene for its numerous festivals, such as the Cantiere Internazionale d?Arte - a music festival that takes place in August.
