| Full Time Practical ESL programs begin weekly. We have 5 levels from Beginner to Advanced. Morning classes focus on listening, speaking, reading, writing and grammar. In the afternoons, students chose from a variety of electives including Conversation, Canadian Culture and Cambridge FCE and CAE preparation. | International Gateway Kelowna, Vedanta Academy and Aberdeen Hall team up to provide high quality ESL and high school programs. Our high school success stories include a 100% Cambridge pass rate, a 100% high school graduation rate and a large number of Honor students. The vast majority of our transfer students continue to post secondary education in B.C. after completing our joint program. The BC Dogwood Diploma is one of Canada’s most recognized and sought after high school credentials. Kelowna provides a safe, fun and friendly study environment for younger learners. It also provides bountiful recreational opportunities (skiing, snowboarding, water sports, basketball, hiking, equestrian and golf) and a wide variety of cultural activities. International Gateway Kelowna accepts high school preparation students (ages 11-18) on a monthly basis for 12-48 weeks of Practical ESL and Cambridge exam preparation. International students can enter Vedanta Academy or Aberdeen Hall in September for a school year or in January for 6 months. | This unique program combines Practical ESL at IGK with a high school experience at Vedanta Academy. Vedanta Academy is a non-denominational private school (K-12) with approximately 200 year round students. Vedanta Academy features small class sizes (8 to 12 students) and only 5% international students. Students enrolling in this program will enjoy meeting, interacting and learning with international and Canadian students. Students take Practical ESL classes at IGK in an integrated international class in the morning, followed by high school courses in drama, art, physical education, music and dance at Vedanta Academy in the afternoon. Open to Individual students ages 12 to 18. Weekly start Jan.2-Jun.1 and from Sept.10-Dec.1, 2012. Pre-test required. A minimum of 6 students are required to run the class. Students registered in FCE must sit the exam at IGK. Examination dates are on or around the last day of class.
