The organizations we work with include: Fundación Social por Bogotá, Fundación Casa Linda Hogar, Hogar Abuelitos Sol y Luna*, Hogar Amor y Vida, and Fundación de Atención Al Migrante. Activities may include: With children and adolescents: Teaching Basic English, Playing table games, Leading recreational activities. With Internal Refugees: Teaching Basic English, Teaching hand crafts, Going to the park, etc., Leading recreational activities. With the elderly: Accompanying and assisting residents with daily activities, Playing table games, Going to the park, etc., Reading to the residents. Please note that the Hogar Abuelitos Sol y Luna does not have reading materials or games available and volunteers are therefore asked to bring their own. Please also note that IH Bogotá does not provide transportation, but is happy to advise students on how best to arrive at their destinations.

Included in the price: Return airfare Bogotá-Leticia-Bogotá, 4 nights accommodation (1 night in a hotel in Leticia, 1 night in the Marasha Nature Reserve and 2 nights in the Amacayacu Park). Full board on the second, third and fourth days, dinner on the first day, and breakfast on the fifth day. All local transport, guide and activities. Not included: Entrance fee to Leticia and the nature reserve to be paid at the airport by the student (approx. 11 US$), fuel tax*, personal expenses, drinks, phone calls, laundry, any other expenses not explicitly listed above. *The fuel tax will vary each month. In the first semester of 2012, the average amount paid for this tax was 80 US$ and the maximum charge was 115 US$. Students may choose to reserve a single room at the Amacayacu Park. The supplement for a single room is about 40 US$ per night.
