General Information on Lisbon
Lisbon, the capital of Portugal and also called the city of the seven hills, can be seen as the white city, mother of sailors and explorers of seas, equally seven in number. Seen from the river Tagus- one of the city's many great viewpoints - Lisbon is an impressionist picture of low-rise ochre and pastel, punctuated by church towers and domes. Lisbon has an Atlantic climate, with Mediterranean influences. Due to these characteristics, Lisbon has lots of sunny days even during the winter.

General Information on International House
The language school International House was founded in Lisbon, Portugal in 1963. The school is located in a mixed business and residential area of the city within easy walking distance of the Gulbenkian Foundation with its priceless art collection . Also nearby is the Edward VII Park with its cool, verdant walks, botanical gardens and magnificent sweeping vistas over the city and the River Tagus.
Facilities
The school is situated in a spacious, independent three-storey building, with 14 bright, airy classrooms, air-conditioning, outside terrace and a self-access-study area. Students have free internet access.
Airport transfer
Best arrival airport is Lisbon/Portela. It takes 30 minutes by Car to school.
