How we create the points regarding what we like/dislike about a school

Location: Kings is situated to the north of Brighton, close to the main central Brighton train station. It is sandwiched between The Level Park and London Road, a prominent road within the city. It is a few streets back from Brighton Open Market, and there are shops, bars, restaurants, gyms and supermarkets around the school.

Navigating Brighton: Brighton’s main train station is a 5-minute walk from Kings. There is a direct train from here that goes past Gatwick Airport. This line continues onto London, and reaches the capital city in around an hour. London Road is filled with bus stops, which makes travelling around the city easy from the school building.

Brighton’s main attractions: Churchill Square Shopping Mall is a 20-minute walk from Kings. Brighton Beach is either 20 minutes by foot or around 15 minutes by bus. Around Brighton Pier, and along the seafront has a lively feel, with lots of bars and restaurants to enjoy the sea views.

Courses: Kings in Brighton provides general English lessons, exam preparation courses for the IELTS and Cambridge Exam, a business foundation programme, a digital marketing package, a diploma and academic study programmes for those interested in further education. During the summer months, Kings has created a school holiday package which includes accommodation as well as a selection of special interest programmes.

School facilities: The school has an on-site art studio, cafe, computer centre, on-site residence, a laundry service as well as wifi throughout the building

Chain school: Kings is a number of well established English language schools in the UK and USA. They understand that learning English is a journey, and there are different needs for the language as this progresses. As a result of this, each school provides a range of courses to cater for these requirements ranging from exam courses, academic programmes, diplomas and courses for specific fields of study such as business. Kings has partnered with academic establishments worldwide to help students to transition into furthering their education at a university in either the UK or the USA

Student opinions about Kings, Brighton

Liked
The size of the school is large, with students from many different countries, a Foundation Course, high-quality classes and students, and good facilities. The school is located a little away from the city center, but there are supermarkets and other stores within walking distance, so it is very convenient.
Disliked
Despite having paid upfront fees for enrollment and tuition, I was asked to pay the full amount. After making numerous inquiries to the school and consulting with an agent on this website, the problem was finally resolved. In addition, perhaps as it took time to resolve the issue, the school did not provide the enrollment information to me. I believe improvements are necessary with respect to information sharing among administrative and accounting staff at the school.

Questions and answers about Kings

  • We don't always have C2 classes, but when we have students who have reached this level and require a greater challenge, we usually arrange for them to have some individual one to one classes so that they can receive this extra push. In this case a student would get the benefit of studying in a group environment for some of the time and for some of their hours they would leave the class and attend individual lessons, which could be tailored exactly to the student’s needs.
Mehmet Tepeli, EFL Admissions Manager from Kings Education - Nov 30, 2022

FAQ about Kings,
