General Information on Quito
Quito is the capital city of Equador with a population of 2 million people.It was founded in 1534 on the ruins of an ancient Inca city. The city is a cultural heaven with archeological museums, ancient ruins and traditional markets. If you happen to be there during Christmas or Easter, you'll be amazed at the number of events, masses, and processions that bring out the crowds.

The language school Lector-Academia de Quito was founded in Quito, Ecuador in 1995. The school is situated in the modern northern part of Quito. We are the only Spanish school in Quito located in a typical neighbourhood of Quito.

The school is located in a recently renovated, beautiful house of three floors. The natural light, the beautiful view of the city and the mountains, the wooden floor and the kindness of our personnel make the school the suitable place to enjoy learning. Facilities include a social and video area, a central chimney, an equipped kitchen and a garden.
