Location: Oasis Language School is located in Puerto Escondido, on the beautiful southwestern coast of Mexico. A city with a vibrant Oaxacan tradition and culture, and with paradise-like beaches and waters, the Oasis Language School is situated just moments from the coastline, offering students a unique opportunity to study Spanish whilst situated amongst the beauty of the Mexican coast. The school is within walking distance of several eateries, bars, a gym and several beaches. The white, compact beach of Playa Carrizalillo, is only a 5-minute walk from the school's front doors!
Course selection: Course selection at the Oasis Language School includes several general Spanish programmes, available over various schedules and intensities, and programmes that incorporate accommodation and surfing. The school also offers courses to learn English. Private lessons may be taken independently or in conjunction with any other programme.
School facilities: The facilities of the school help create a welcoming and family-like atmosphere for students and teachers alike. These facilities include a cafeteria, restaurant, a kitchen for student use, games room, lounge area, gym, outdoor swimming pool, garden and a student support desk for any questions or queries that may arise.
Oasis Language School has over 20 years of teaching experience. Students are sure to enjoy their time at the school and are encouraged to take part in the unique learning experiences and activities available.

“1:1 lessons with a very personalised approach. I didn't know that before and was very pleasantly surprised. The quality of the teaching was extremely high for the most part, but it depended on the person teaching.”
“The introduction on the first day was not ideal: I was told to be there at 9.00 a.m., but I should have been there at least 15 minutes earlier because I had to fill out forms. So I was 20-30 minutes late for my first lesson. I had an intensive course (4.5 hours/day). The lessons were far too tightly timed: I only had a total of 30min break to eat and no time to recover or prepare between lessons. It was too stressful for me!”

One would have received 5/5 (enjoys teaching, action-oriented, responds to the current learning status), the other 1/5 (bored, plays with the cell phone during class, does not pay attention to mistakes and does not correct them)

- Single individual lessons of tuition can be reserved at 30 MXN. The combination of group and individual lessons is highly recommended. Individual lessons will encourage you to actively speak the foreign language and will offer you the opportunity to discuss individual problems and weaknesses.

- At OdaMar, every Monday we host a Welcome Evening for new students — a relaxed and friendly introduction to life in Puerto Escondido. The evening begins with a one-hour orientation session, where we welcome students, explain program details, share important local information, and give tips on what to do and how to get around town.
After the orientation, everyone enjoys a local tasting experience, sampling regional flavors while meeting other students and teachers in a casual, friendly setting.
Every Friday, we host Salsa Nights, the perfect way to unwind, dance, and celebrate the week together.
Students also stay connected through our Oasis Gang group chat, where they can plan outings, meet up with classmates, and receive updates from our team about weekly activities, surf sessions, and local events.
Our common areas, pool, and garden spaces provide the ideal environment to relax, study, and meet people from around the world. Group conversation classes often take place outdoors, making learning enjoyable and social.
To deepen the immersion experience, OdaMar organizes cultural and community activities throughout the year, including visits to the local market and seasonal celebrations such as Día de Muertos, Independence Day, and Christmas.
