General Information on Charlottetown

Charlottetown is a small but unique Canadian town. It is situated on a harbour which is formed by the confluence of three rivers in the central part of the Prince Edward Island along its south shore. It has a very lively cultural centre, with attractions the range from musicals, dinner theatre, to historical tours, and stages covering Celtic to jazz. The downtown area has many Victorian-era houses, galleries, and specialty shops. Nature lovers will also enjoy the numoerous walking trails and parks in the area.
