What our students said about Almuñécar
A very friendly, compact town with few tourists. Perhaps this is why the locals are so friendly to us tourists, because the first row of the kilometer-long beach promenade belongs to them, consisting mainly of residential buildings and few hotels. Many expats of all ages and nationalities. Everything is easy living (at least in winter).

It is manageable and not as hectic as other cities. But there is a lot of dog poo on the pavements. Overall, I like it very much. It's not perfect anywhere. A bit too cold at the moment.

Why Almuñécar? Almuñécar is a Mediterranean city with a picturesque old town centre with white houses and small winding lanes of the Barrio de San Miguel. The modern part of the small town has been built around this quarter and along the kilometre-long beach. Located 76 km from Granada and 85 km from Malaga, it is situated in a valley on the so-called Costa Tropical.
