Comments: This course is designed to familiarise students with the English language necessary to engage in various aspects of nursing; for those preparing to enter this medical field, or for those who are already qualified nurses. This course runs in conjunction with the General English programme, i.e. students study General English in the morning (15 hrs/week) and English for Nursing (10hrs/week) in the afternoon.
Comments: Entrance requirement for 6 month course is IELTS 6.0. Entrance requirement for 9 month course is IELTS 5.5. Course includes General English, IELTS exam preparation and Nursing English modules. Designed for students wanting to go on to study Nursing in NZ, or for students who are qualified nurses in their home country already, and would like to apply to have their licence recognised in NZ so they can work as a nurse in NZ.
