Portuguese language schools in Porto

Gorgeous! I found the city safe, welcoming and cosy. Very beautiful with colourful sights and a rich cultural life. I was also pleased with the gastronomic abundance - there are numerous cafes and restaurants in the city where you can try any cuisine of the world. I would especially like to emphasise the friendliness and friendliness of Porto's inhabitants towards the guests of their city.

A very recommendable city. The only thing is that I would no longer travel there in November, as I arrived at school with wet shoes almost every day, despite an umbrella. It simply rained too often. Excursions to other cities, such as Braga or Coimbra, are highly recommended.

I like the mixture of old buildings and new attractions. It wasn't so crowded in winter. In summer it is perhaps a little too touristy. It's a shame that so many small shops and restaurants away from the pedestrianised area have been closed and abandoned.

Porto is beautiful city, the center is small enough to be visited by feet and public transports takes you anywhere. Many typical foods, and a lot of history to be discovered. Amazing view points and enough activities for different taste.

An attractive city that lives from its overall atmosphere rather than from individual mega-sights. The ups and downs and the location on the Douro with such different districts and many hidden gems are something very special.

It's not the city I would like to live in. But for a stay of two or more weeks, Porto is very exciting and has a lot to offer. It's great fun to discover and experience the very different neighbourhoods.

We loved Porto and the people were extremely friendly especially for someone learning Portuguese. The weather was really rough in January. We had two weeks of tropical storms with red alerts.

Porto seems to me a pleasant and easy city to walk around in spite of its slopes and the pavement of some of its streets. The distances are not big. Good food. Recommended city.

It’s really difficult not to fall in love with the city. There are so many interesting things to see and do, and it’s a perfect base for daily trips to other cities nearby.

You have to "conquer" Porto. It is not as nice and warm as Lisbon right from the beginning. But the more you know the place the more interesting and gratifying it becomes.

The school was excellent. My husband and I learned quite a bit even in a short period of time. We had three different teachers over three weeks but each teacher focused on different are of our language development.

Our teacher Sara was incredibly nice and funny. We were in a group of 4. I had a lot of fun. Looking back, I realize that as an absolute beginner I should have learned more phrases, I can now list 30 different items of clothing but can't order a coffee. So maybe the focus wasn't on the things I would have thought about in terms of content, but the lessons were really incredibly funny and great. I will definitely do it again.

The teacher (Rita) is able to respond very well to the different learning speeds of the students (there were three of us) and provides varied lessons with lots of information about Portugal and the "mindset" of the Portuguese. I found it perfect! As we were older, it was also quite exhausting with 4 hours per day, but I would still like to come back next year.
