Santiago ratings & opinions
How our students rated their experience in Santiago
What our students said about Santiago
As a traveller, you always have to be mindful and but if you follow basic rules such as not going out at night by yourself in certain areas and keep your phone in your purse, you are good to go. Also, this applies to every place in Central/South America
Chile
There’s lots to do and go to. The public transport system is outstanding, and cheap. It’s easy to find your way around as the streets are well signposted, and the place is built on a rectangular grid. Google maps helps too!
Australia
Very lively, the bank holiday is a special highlight, impressive how the Chileans celebrate, good public transport, many excursion possibilities, caution is advised, do not wear important personal things visibly.
Germany
A large, modern city with many beautiful buildings. I liked it but it was not for me « love at first sight » as Buenos Aires was.
Canada
I wouldn't know about shopping. Santiago is definitely a place to visit and in November - December the air was quite pure.
Finland
Just make sure you put your money somewhere safe and if you have to take your phone out, hold onto it tightly.
England UK
There’s so much to see and do! It’s very easy to get around on the metro or walk to places close by.
Great city with many sights and good nightlife. Prices, however, very expensive for South America.
Germany
Santiago is very relaxed for such a large metropolis and is well worth a visit.
Germany
Very nice and safe in the neighbourhood where I have been.
Netherlands
A very safe and interesting city with beautiful people.

I loved the people, it was like a small family and made my stay so much more fun. Since I had an intensive course in a very small class, the lessons where very practical and fun. I also loved the activities offered almost every day!!

It was a wonderful school :-)
The atmosphere was quite extraordinary. The administrator and all the teachers were very friendly, efficient and professional - and they all appeared to be friends between them. It seemed like we were all one happy family. Also, the afternoon and night activities (city walk, salsa lesson, making pisco sour, conversation class) were great. Also, the teaching material was good. I will probably go there again.
A very good school to be highly recommended!

Small classes, committed teachers, own material (booklet with current grammar and vocabulary), regular homework, systematic structure, extra conversation on Monday, a different activity every afternoon, interesting excursions at the weekend, very individual farewells in class, bank holidays were made up for - perfect for me, I would choose the school again.

All the teachers are kind.
Because the progress of lessons differs depending on classmates, you can have them change if you are dissatisfied with the class.

They do a great job of gauging your skills and matching you with a curriculum that works for you. It's obvious they take a personal interest your effort to learn Spanish to make sure you get the most out of your classes. I did a couple weeks of group courses and took a few private lessons as well. I highly recommend the private lessons--they are worth the additional expense because you get more practice and can focus on the things you need to improve most.

Really enjoyed my time here and learnt a lot in one week. I'm considering going back another time. I had my own accommodation so that shouldn’t be included in my review.
