Location: Instituto Hemingway Bilbao is a Spanish language institute located in the culturally rich city of Bilbao, Basque Country, Spain. The school is housed in the Abando neighbourhood, bordering the city's Casco Viejo medieval old quarter. There are several eateries, restaurants and attractions surrounding the school including the Bilboko Donejakue Katedrala, Teatro Arriaga, Plaaza Nueva, the Erriberako Merkatua and much more. The school is a short walk from several public transport networks, ensuring travel in and around the city can be made easily.
Course selection: In addition to General Spanish programmes, which are available over several schedules and intensities, Instituto Hemingway also provides one-to-one tuition (presencial, online) and has several programmes of Spanish with an additional activity, such as a Business Internship, a Culinary Internship, and Volunteer work.
Accommodation: The school offers a range of accommodation options ranging from homestay facilities with local families, to aparthotels, student residences and shared apartments. All accommodation is subject to availability and is allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.
Getting around: The school is around 100m from the central train stations (Bilbao-Abando station and Estación de tren Zabalburu) and has several bus, tram and metro stations within walking distance.
Social and cultural: Bilbao is a very social city and Instituto Hemingway provides excellent social activities and happenings for students to enjoy should they wish. Such activities include visiting local museums such as the Guggenheim Museum, and evening out together eating Pintxos and having drinks.
