Additional information
Positive aspects of school
The quality of teaching at the school is very good and most of the teachers teach very well. The environment is also very good, on the quiet side, very suitable for learning
Negative aspects
If the teacher who regularly teaches your class is on vacation, there will be teachers who will help come in and fill in for you, and there are a couple of teachers who really aren't very good at teaching.
City/place
Very good.
Quality of teaching / language progress
You can learn a lot if you study hard.

City/place
I really enjoyed this little town. Very pedestrian and bike friendly. Really nice restaurants and cafe. No big shopping centers or international fast food or cafe (no starbucks, no mc donalds...). Very welcoming city.
Quality of teaching / language progress
No answer for the activities as I did not have time for them. Very friendly staff. Felt like I was a part of a family in that school. Not too big. I was lucky to study in November with very few students (5 in the class, then 4) Excellent teachers. Each of them with special interests but very helpful, patient, and they made us feel at ease. I really improved my German thanks to them.
Accommodation
Very welcoming person and we talked a lot. Made me feel at home. The details about my family given before my stay were not accurate but it did not bother me. Maybe this could be improved. We did not always have meals together but it is also what I wanted. She always asked about what I enjoy eating and the table was always set for me even when she did not share the meal. Really great person

Positive aspects of school
I spent 2 months in Radolfzell and these months were the best of my life. At school, both the teachers and other staff were particularly helpful and nice. Classes were never boring and the teacher answered every question. After the lessons, the school organized leisure activities that were always varied and interesting. Already on the first day I found friends with whom I speak every day. Although Radolfzell is a small town, I have never been bored. You have the opportunity to bathe in Lake Constance or drive any boats, do a lot of sports, go to pubs and just shop or eat. Nevertheless, the city is safe. You can also go on a little trip to Switzerland, France, Italy or Austria because they are very close. You should not doubt, because no matter what kind of person you are, you will enjoy this language school and city. I hope I can go back again. :)))
Quality of teaching / language progress
I spent 2 months in CDC Radolfzell and my knowledge of German has improved a lot.

Positive aspects of school
Wonderful location in a small town on Bodensee. Nice small size school, easy to get to know participants in many other classes. Very friendly and helpful staff, including the cafeteria lady with her home-made cakes during the morning break and the social activity coordinators.
Insider tips about what future students should not miss
The nearby tennis club hosts an open afternoon for visitors on Wednesdays. Rent a bike and explore all along the Bodensee, including the lovely island of Reichenau near Konstanz.
Other comments
My CDC guest house room needs more electricity sockets. It had just one socket, high up on the wall beside the light switch near the door, very far from the table, which is fixed in place.

One suggestion: a guided visit to the city I did not like: in a German course you expect a prepared guide and someone who speaks German, while the person who accompanied us did not speak German, and knew nothing at all about the city.

Insider tips about what future students should not miss
If you want to live in spartan conditions in a farm - it is your school. I would avoid the summer camps like this - there are much better programmes for the same money
Other comments
Terrible living conditions for children, the children slept on mattresses at first, and then they were moved to a room shared by many students, none of the children had a bedsit table for personal items or a wardrobe, they simply had to throw dirty and clean clothes on the floor. The lake was very far and it was very dirty

Insider tips about what future students should not miss
I think it is worth staying at the Guest House in Radolfzell. The homestay is much more expensive and most of them are in the outskirts and you have to depend on the bus/train timetable which is quite annoying.
Other comments
I loved the school: their method, the content, the length of the courses, their professionalism...however, it will depend on your teacher. I was lucky to have two of the best ones but I did have some of the others whose performance was much worse.

Make sure you ask the staff for all avaliable information about transportation and student discounts around town
Other comments
The instruction was outstanding but the general information about transporation and other important pieces on information for students to know were not presented in an organized packet when you arrive right away. Students had to know to ask or it was not forthcoming.
