Additional information
Positive aspects of school
The teachers were excellent. I had good instruction, classes were small and interactive, teachers were all engaged and enthusiastic about teaching. I started in C1 and ended up halfway through C2 after 1 month.
Negative aspects
The building was very cold and had poor heating. We had to wear coats and scarves most of the day. There were virtually no orientation, extracurricular activities or information about getting around or familiar with the city. The student residence was often dirty.
Insider tips about what future students should not miss
I would suggest having an orientation for new students. It can be difficult to join a class that is ongoing if you are not exactly at the same level. Easier access to administrative support and staff to talk with about concerns would be helpful. It was somewhat difficult to reach someone with concerns about the homestay but once I did the school was very responsive.
Other comments
My main issue with the classes was that in the C1 level, 3 of us were about the same level, then 2 new students joined the class who were total beginners. This slowed the progress of the class considerably and was frustrating. It would be better if there was more separation of students of different abilities within the same level.
City/place
I loved Seville. It is beautiful, full of history and very interesting. I am an older student and most of the other students were in their 20's so I didn't have much company after classes. I didn't mind but would have preferred a few more organized activities with the school.
Quality of teaching / language progress
At times it was difficult to fit in the additional 5 hours per week. Scheduling seemed to be an issue with the teachers.
Accommodation
My homestay was disappointing and I moved to the student residence after 10 days. There were no other families available. My host was reluctant to provide adequate meals or hot water. I felt she was trying to make money by skimping on expenses. There was one other student staying in her apartment who was also unhappy. We complained to her as well as to the school who contacted her about our complaints and eventually things got better.

Additional information
Positive aspects of school
Most teachers are very good and involved and small.
Negative aspects
The organisation of the school was very bad. The first few months we had no toilet paper, the school was dirty and the terrace was never open. It was almost impossible to contact the school management about this. Teachers couldn't get through to the management either. Furthermore, it was very cold for a number of weeks because the heating did not work adequately and the windows had to be open because of the corona.
City/place
Very nice city and met many other internationals.
Quality of teaching / language progress
I was in a class with all intensive 20s. This meant that I had to deal with the same amount of material with half the number of hours. It was fine for me, but sometimes you miss something. Teachers do respond well to it.
Accommodation
Much too expensive for what you get. Dirty and not well maintained. The landlord also only speaks Spanish.

City/place
Beautiful. So much history all around
Accommodation
Sra Mercedes Cardenas was so welcoming and helpful and her modest apartment was full of her lifetime that it felt like I was part of her family. And her cooking was really great. Every dinner was different and delicious. After dinner we watched Pasapalabras and laughed together before I went to do homework. I loved living in a neighborhood like Any Sevillana. Nice walk or bus to school passing over the river every day. It was truly an unforgettable part of the learning experience

Other comments
I Expected more. They should try harder because students pay for it. It was ok for me because I was only there for a week but I feel sorry for the other long term students.

A beautiful city. You somehow feel transported to another time by the great buildings.
Quality of teaching / language progress

Maestra Rocio: top class 5 star teaching! BRAVO, learning is fun!
Negative aspects
In the first week one-to-one lessons with Maestra Lourdes from 10:40 am - 12:10 pm. So instead of 4 hours only 1:30. I didn't learn anything with this "teacher". Maestra Lourdes: No star, not your job.
Quality of teaching / language progress
Weekly change of course participants disrupts the continuity of the course. Everyone is put into a reasonably suitable class.

City/place
Not of interest, evaluation is for a languagecourse. We have been living in Sevilla 1-2 months per year for the last few years.
Quality of teaching / language progress
--- Confusion because we had booked for February and not for March 2019. --- Administration employees used mobiles for private purposes while dealing with me in the office. --- Disconnect between teachers and admin people, did not care about each other. --- One could not understand the teachers. --- Teacher used very strong language --- Lots of noise from roadworks --- Could not hear or understand the Asian, Polish and Portugues women (5) in the class. It was unintelligible! No good when you try to learn a language --- 4 out of 5 days of studies only due to dia de Andalucia (80%) --- A total rip-off and never will recommend the school to anyone

Positive aspects of school
The teachers were very capable and very knowledgable. Explained everything in a very calm manner. The great thing about the lessons were that they were cohesive, despite the fact they were split up in separate blocks. Would love to go back next year, really enjoyed my time there.
Insider tips about what future students should not miss
It was an incredible experience. A bit pricey, but the high end education and good quality is worth the money.
Other comments
The rooms in the student residence are not really comfortable. The rooms are small and I couldn't do my homework at a desk, as the desk was very tiny. The pillows were different than the ones I am used to at home, which made it hard to sleep. The staff at the residence is excellent friendly and always keen to get everything organized for you. Same for the school, the staff is friendly and always willing to help out.

Insider tips about what future students should not miss
you can't miss the calle betis, 50 cent shot called 'chupitos' in the bars, you might also come across youngsters having a 'botellon' which we call street drinking, it is very peaceful, Spanish people know how to drink peacefully, respect it. I would also have a look at that park Maria Luisia, lovely, especially during spring. the plaza of Alameheda de hercules at the end of calle Feria is a lovely place to have a refresher, or go see a movie young people generally hang out there. plaza san salvador and alfalfa (very close) are full of different people, from kids to business men , enjoying a beer and the sun.

the city council to people like me who prefer to study in a small room without having the stress of public transport because everything is within walking distance: the school itself, with a few classrooms and school facilities with a basic but very friendly staff, professional and helpful It is located in the center, almost front of Casa de las Conchas. Highlights of the city: the youth and university atmosphere and lively nightlife, the stunning Old Town, the city economy. Recommended Age :18-25.
