Standard of teaching was great, the textbook used was useful. Stammtisch (after class activities) was useful. Homestay was superb.
Disliked
Initial placement interview placed me 2 courses below where I should've been. Perhaps a better system would be better. Free time activities were not as good as expected, the Stammtisch was poorly attended and lots of people there weren't speaking in German, other activities were cancelled at short notice.

Questions and answers about GLS - German Language School

  • Normally, in schools it is only used the mother tongue of the country that you want to learn / improve, German in this case. If you have problems addressing the staff of the school in German, according to the information they have provided us, some of their staff also speak other languages such as English, Spanish, French, Italian or Portuguese. Although, it cannot be 100% guaranteed that someone will be able to communicate with you in your mother tongue while you are at school.
    Rubén De Haro, LanguageCourse.net - Jul 22, 2021
  • The GLS German Language School is an official testing center for telc Deutsch certificates and TestDaF.
    Ángel Marcos Portoles, LanguageCourse.Net - Oct 25, 2022
  • Depending on the speed of the group, it may take longer to complete the respective skill level. Quick learners have the opportunity to change groups (after a consultation with the teacher).
    Ángel Marcos Portoles, LanguageCourse.Net - Oct 25, 2022
  • We teach German at all levels all year round, from beginners to advanced. No matter what level you are in right now, you can start your German course at our school in Berlin any Monday of the year.

Levels A1, A2 and B1 can be completed in 6 weeks (if you book 30 lessons/week) or in 8 weeks if you choose to book 20 lessons/week. The B2 level can also be completed in 6 weeks (if you book 30 lessons/week) but it takes 10 weeks if you choose to book 20 lessons/week.
