What we like about the school
  • Only independent language school in the Balearic Islands accredited by Instituto Cervantes
What we dislike about the school
  • Younger students should consider that the average age of students at this school is significantly higher than at most other schools.
  • Lessons are 45 minutes long, which is shorter than in other schools.
How we create the points regarding what we like/dislike about a school

Location: Instituto de Idiomas Ibiza is in Ibiza Town, in the south of the island. The school is a ten minute walk from the Eivissa Harbour for routes to Mainland Spain and nearby islands. It is in the north of the town, with a large number of shops and restaurants dotted around the streets.

Getting around: The centre of the town is a 15-minute walk from the school. There are various bus routes close to the school for moving around the area.

Major attractions: Due to its size, most of the major attractions such as the Puig des Molins artifact, the Castle of Ibiza and the Catedral de Santa Maria de la Neu de Vila d'Eivissa are walkable from the school. These are all within a 15-minute walking radius from Instituto de Idiomas.

Course structure: There are group classes and one-to-one lessons available at the school for the general use of the Spanish language. It is also possible to take a combination course which mixes the benefits of both styles of learning. A DELE exam preparation course is held at the school for students to practise before taking the official Spanish exam. To learn more about the cuisine of the island there are cultural courses blended with general Spanish classes. These are available for Paella Cooking as well as Gazpacho and All i Oli Course.

How the other students were all lovely and the teachers were very good
Insider tips about what future students should not miss I think a map from the accommodation to the school is a must!! Myself and another girl got lost and spent 40 minutes walking around. The taxi driver also didn't know he had to go to the school first and took me straight to accommodation and I had to explain in my limited Spanish that I needed to go to the school first. Also I was unaware there was wifi in my accommodation. There was no posters in flat explaining this and I couldn't find the code to enter on phone so had no wifi for duration of stay.

Other comments The social activities, offered by the school, could be more interesting. I really missed a cozy cafeteria to meet other students during lunchbreak. The school is too focused on the lesson. Too serious!
