The staff were friendly and helpful; class was a lot of fun (of course a bit overwhelming at first) and my teacher did a great job making us feel at ease and encouraging us. I was able to obtain an OPUS card (bus) at the student pricing thanks to the student card BLI provided. The "5 a 7"s were a great time and opportunity to meet fellow students in a relaxed atmosphere outside of the school and also a good opportunity to practice the French we'd learned all week.

Explore Quebec City by foot... it's a beautiful place and the people are super friendly. Also, obtain an OPUS card if you're staying a while... very useful and not so expensive, especially at the student price and the bus system is excellent.

I choose an intensive week long private programme and there was a little confusion at the beginning (I was put in a group). I think this type of learning process may be a bit unusual and if/when I return,I would do things a bit differently-ie, I would be a bit more directive (possibly in advance) of my goals. Overall, it was a good experience.

Good location.

I went over the Christmas break, which had the advantage of being quiet (so I got more time with the teachers), but it was socially a bit too quiet. No complaints, but in future I would probably go another time of year.

The school concentrates on speaking. Consider other schools if you are interested in progressing rapidly in your overall language ability.

The school is good for combining it with traveling. You will just have a nice time there, speaking French for 4 hours. The school does not provide an intensive course.

Es ist schade, dass die Schule keine Freizeitaktivitäten anbietet. Ausserdem trifft man die anderen Schüler an der Schule kaum, da jede Klasse den Unterricht zu einer anderen Uhrzeit beginnt und auch die Pausen nicht gleichzeitig stattfinden. Privatunterricht war super.

lots of tourist attractions have multiple languages, so you can check your French against your language

if you feel you are not in the right level course, let the school know. They were able to change my class by the next day.

Be sure to ask for what you need.

Students should be aware that staying with a host family is not the same as a hotel. The host families are doing this service because they enjoy providing hospitality to visitors.

The school is outstanding and I would definitely study there again. Anyone who plans to attend French immersion classes should study there.

Students can get a monthly bus pas with student discount but should get a letter from the school and instruction on how to proceed from other students.

Very useful for those seriously dedicated to learning French in Canada. Somewhat business-like atmosphere for those wanting a language vacation.

It is really annoying you can't pay with creditcard. European countries are way past the stage of cheques, so I had to pay 8 weeks in cash! (The ATM only gives 20$ bills)

The school is well-run. The program is flexible. The instructors make an effor to teach some relevant information about Quebecois French and answer questions about the city and places to visit.

The ambiance - the small class sizes and incredibly friendly staff create a wonderfully comfortable atmosphere which allows you to speak freely, even if your French isn't perfect. There is a diverse range of topics covered, so class is always fresh and interesting.

Go to the "boites a chansons" at night, the musique quebecois is great!

There's a great balance between serious learning and fun activities. You can practice your French in a wide range of situations, especially with the other students, and as a result speaking ability improves quite rapidly.

I was there for only one week and needed to practise my speaking skills. The course was at my level and I had some very useful speaking practice in a small group in which I felt very comfortable.

Bring a bike if you can. Quebec is a great biking city.

The facilities were nice and the teachers were great!

The staff and teachers are really nice, and care about the students.

Ask for a homestay within 3km of the school. Some students live an hour away by bus, making it difficult to get home after a late night out.

The classrooms are small for the number of students. Also the classes are often full in the summer time. You also don't know whether your class is in the morning or in afternoon until the previous Friday. This makes planning your week a bit difficult. Besides that, it's a great school, I had lot of fun, and can't wait to return!

I highly recommend it! Be warned though that the Québec weather is extreme in the winter! Doesn't make you want to explore the city in such frozen conditions.

Take the guided tour of the Citadelle for the history and view of the whole city.

It is a small school with small classes,but this is better for learning.I always had the impression they knew what they were doing and that the dollar was not the most important thing for them.
