Additional information
Positive aspects of school
Very friendly environment and amazing teachers! Quality of this school is great! I was really satisfied with it and love to recommend it to all students. Also the location at Palo is perfect (beautiful beaches and great connection to the centre by public transport). After school activities and weekends trips were also very nice. I would love to study here again.
Other comments
Amazing place where you can study!
City/place
My favorite city in Spain. For me definitely the best place where to stay longer and study. Málaga has everything - nice beaches, beautiful city centre, amazing history, endless number of great restaurants and pubs and good weather almost all year. The city is also very safe and traveling by public transport is comfortable.
Quality of teaching / language progress
Teachers were really great, funny and supportive.
Accommodation
Very nice and clean apartment for 3 students. Kitchen had absolutely everything we needed. Just 8 min to school and 3 min to beach. Perfect place to stay.

Young people. Dedicated and passionate.
Negative aspects
I felt that after 1 week of intensive teaching, I could not express myself enough in Spanish. There was a lot of listening in Spanish in the 1st but little speaking.

Fun, smooth school with many passionate staff and students.
City/place
Top. We were in a cottage in a working-class neighbourhood of Malaga, where only Spanish was spoken.

Intense listening, but not speaking yourself.

Additional information
Positive aspects of school
Nice atmosphere, nice people working there.
Negative aspects
I think the school is less suitable for real beginners. Everything is completely in Spanish from the start and that is quite difficult. Classrooms are small and noisy, especially on the street side. Coffee and tea are only available 1 break a week. The rest of the week you have to get not so tasty coffee from a vending machine for 1 euro. There are 2 toilets for the whole school. There is always a line during the breaks. The excursions and activities organized by the school were disappointing. Looks a bit like a money grab. For example, I did a tapas tour where I served 1 king prawn, half a stick of meat, half a small bowl of soup (I also had to share with a complete stranger - 2 spoons in 1 bowl in corona time), a few squid rings and a few pieces of vegetables. € 17 had to be paid for this. There was also a visit to a wine museum, where we were allowed to taste 2 small glasses of wine and then walk around the museum for about half an hour. That cost € 10. And I could go on and on.
Insider tips about what future students should not miss
Make sure you start the course well prepared, with Duolingo for example, otherwise it will be very difficult.
Other comments
There is a good atmosphere and they are very helpful and friendly.
City/place
Wonderful city!
Quality of teaching / language progress
The 55+ course is nothing more than a normal course, but with an after school program. Since that added little or nothing for me, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
Accommodation
I was in a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom house with a beautiful roof terrace. Very nice accommodation, just a bit big for me. Excellent location, 5 minutes from the beach and 20 minutes from the school. This accommodation was found for me by the school, but is not one of their own locations.

Positive aspects of school
The teacher, Maria, was the best at school. I liked the atmosphere too, both young and old students together. The secretaries were very helpful and nice, thanks!
Quality of teaching / language progress
The basic course was good but a little bit boring at first- because of the book: hundreds of simple words I could learn at home. But the teacher made it better. And the second week was more interesting and demanding, too- in a good way. Some more weeks would have been a good choice!

The direct location on the beach.
Quality of teaching / language progress
Unfortunately, I couldn't improve my Spanish very much during the 2 weeks and since the course was relatively expensive and you had to pay extra for the excursions, which were often a bit expensive, I think that the price performance is not really given. The furnishings were not very comfortable as there was only one chair with a fold-away bed. The location, however, is great, there is a direct bus connection and the beach in front of the door.
Accommodation
My host family was very friendly and tried to speak as much Spanish to me as they could. The food and the cleanliness, on the other hand, were not so good as you only got pasta and toast with jam for most of the day, but this is only a minor matter in a language course :)

I doubted if I was in the right group. I missed a lot because I couldn't follow the teacher and some students . That's why I missed sometimes the possibility to ask something in english. In spite of that I liked the hours being occupied with the Spanish language.

Insider tips about what future students should not miss
Be careful, they can send you to study at a level lower than yours, and you'll waste your money, time and effort. There is no individual approach, even if it’s obvious that you already know the material, nobody cares about it, they won't let you change the class.
Other comments
A very negative experience. The classroom was divided by furniture (cabinets), teenagers were studying behimd that "wall", so it was very noisy and distracting. The assessment on Susanna's exam, who conducts the so-called exam by herself, is purely subjective, and I felt she biased me. Which was confirmed a couple of days later, when I passed the exam in the other two schools and my level was higher.

Positive aspects of school
I liked most the focus on learning how to practice verbal communication using the immediate context of Malaga and people’s lives and needs while living in the city. I liked the ability to go more in depth where necessary, and not just stopping at the book.
Insider tips about what future students should not miss
It may not be what most people would want, but would highly suggest spending time alone away from foreigners in the school or your partner and get involved in the city, having to explore and get things done. Also I highly suggest watching Netflix with Spanish subtitles and Spanish audio on as much as possible, while continuing to supplement your own independent learning through an online course lime duolingo or babbel.
Other comments
It is a lovely highly professional school and administration that I would highly recommend. The main suggestion I have is to offer opportunities for greater immersion with local Spanish people for those more ambitious to learn faster. I know there is ‘home-stay’, but as an adult it felt too restrictive for me who likes his own independence. Instead, I would be looking for activities, sports, gym classes, recreations to join up where common interests could be focused with Spanish as a default language. There is a temptation at a language school to socialize primarily with other students where English takes over. I had to distance myself from the other students and felt badly as they were a really lovely group and naturally, it meant there were some lonely times searching out ways to connect with local population/life. However, I noticeably improved much faster than the majority of students in the two weeks.

The classes (in our case) and the textbook somehow seemed uncoordinated - so much that teaching time was lost because we had to guess what the teacher actually wants from us. The school is extremely in love with its established rules. For example it is not allowed to attend classes if you're more than 5 or 10 minutes late. The classrooms were usually quite narrow. The recreational activities had the character of "Please no additional work for the school" and were usually organized from the outside (for different schools together).

The rooms are not really ideal, especially on the first floor, the rooms are only separated by a folding door. Through the "board wall", you can hear the classes teaching on the other site better than your own ...

I was VERY dissapointed with the host family. Five students in one house seriously diminished the "family" environment. Just one small bathroom shared between the 5 students! Food quality & quantity was poor. I moved out to a shared a villa with other students which was MUCH better & I would recommend it.
